DAMN IT!! Another rider is booted for doping. It's hard to explain to my 7 year old son "why" they do this. He does not get it and he's really disappointed in these riders. Here it is, 3 stages left, and they are booted for doping their blood. He really likes these riders, thinks they are great at what they do and then he realized they have been cheating and he's not happy, though he is still watching. I am angry at these riders as well - they should not be doing this just to win.

Not many of you know just how big of a Tour de France fan I am. I have watched every stage for the past 6 years on TV. Last year's winner was knocked out for steroids. This years favourite, Alexander Vinokourov, has tested positive for blood doping. Sigh. I wish there could be one year where drugs and/or doping was not a factor. I guess Lance Armstrong was the last true rider (in my feeble memory) to *not* take drugs to win. My kids love to watch as well and now The Boy is not so pleased with...

Fucking shock. Numb. Swirling & spinning. Can't believe that Marilyn is gone. Feel like a Mack Truck has run into me. She had MS for years and it finally got the best of her yesterday. Her husband, Rick, came home from work and she was dead in their bed, apparently died in her sleep as she didn't look distressed or uncomfortable. Marilyn left when I was 8. I am going through a small mental break-down after a weekend of "awakenings" in the mental back-log of things in my life.
