time to say goodbye

I cried my eyes out watching the burn this year. I realized I am done. No trip to the playa next year. No, I will not jump on the 'last year was better' bandwagon. Quite to the contrary, this may have been the best year yet. A beautiful swansong. I can only explain it with a metaphor. I have been dating a fabulous girl these past five years. She has given me so much and I have tried to give back as best I can in my limited capacity. She is beautiful, talented, inspiring. I just don't love her anymore. She will get over it I am sure. I hope I do. So sorry love, it's not you, it's me. Thanks for the memories.
