though not "ha ha" or "he he". more akin to "hmmm...that's a quirky statement to make". This, from a guy that said "fuck it" all the way to Pyramid Lake. My son said "da da" roughly five minutes before pulling out of the parking lot that was 4:30 and Ego. Yes, damn pleased that I went the hell to get there. Yes, damn pleased that the door was never closed. Yes, there will be many more days of frustration and bliss ~ only, what color will the sky be painted upon the return? This song was my 'theme song' for this year's burn (the song that was on repeat in my head throughout the week), and it seems particularly appropriate for this moment, dear Stuart. It was wonderful to hang with you multiple times on za playa. She will never forget.

I'm done, at least for a while, with anything that has to do with the politics of being a good burner. I'm all about the rat race and being conservative. I'm gonna don my flowered shirt, grab a vat of pachoulli oil, and head out with the hippies... Perhaps something a bit more *organic* would be up ^your^ alley??? hey Stu!
Stuart I'm so bummed we never got to see each other. I can totally appreciate how you probably feel after 5 years. This first year was magical for me, and I def plan to go next year two...and probably a third time. But I can see how some adventures do need to come to an end. I did end up doing my VJ stuff, but the REAL satisfaction came from all the incredible response to my music. WHen I can find the right environments/people, my type of sound really seems to "work" and inspire people.

I am so glad you had such a powerful experience. I am done for now but am not one of those folks who is going to blame the event for my lack of desire to return next year. Keep going and going and going so long as it is valuable to you. I may be back some day as well.
