Does anybody know anything about scuba diving?
(blog entry)
Cody and I went to the Oregon State Fair today, and there was a company there doing some basic scuba diving instruction for $5.00. I am pretty sure this kid was a fish in a previous life, because he absolutely loved it and wants to know where he ...

Really. It's worth it for more than a couple of reasons.
Wall-E and the spork
Robot insane asylum
The cockroach
And of course there's the cartoon before the feature presentation begins.
I wonder how old my son has to be before he...

I just saw "Indiana Jones and the Temple of the Crystal Skull". I have loved Harrison Ford since he was Bob Falfa in "American Graffiti", quite possibly my most favorite movie ever. And I have loved Karen Allen since she was Katy in "Animal Hous...

Somebody who works in a grade school. That's who.
Somebody who, after more months that she can count on both fingers and toes of being totally dateless, has not one but two dinner dates for next week. ...

about me
I'm surprised they even allow me on this website. I am not One Of The Cool People. Never have been. Never will be.
Basically my life has been a series of random ideas that sound really good at the time I get them, but which never seem to pan out quite the way I anticipated.
I have been onstage since I was 12, and sometimes I think that is the only true reality that I know.
"Imagination is the highest kite one can fly."---Lauren Bacall
My imagination often flies me too high and that drop back down to reality can be a killer.
I am a Catholic yet I believe in ghosts (one has been with me for years).
I used to believe in love, but I've given up on that.
A friend once described me as "an overhead projector: transparent and easy to read". That pretty much sums it all up.
Cody and I went to the Oregon State Fair today, and there was a company there doing some basic scuba diving instruction for $5.00. I am pretty sure this kid was a fish in a previous life, because he absolutely loved it and wants to know where he can go to do it again. From just some random Google-ing, the only thing that I've figured out for sure is that scuba diving is expensive. And if I'm going to even THINK about spending that kind of money, I'm going to do my research and get the bes...

I wonder how old my son has to be before he can apply for a job at Pixar? Because really: who WOULDN'T want to do that when they grow up?

I just saw "Indiana Jones and the Temple of the Crystal Skull". I have loved Harrison Ford since he was Bob Falfa in "American Graffiti", quite possibly my most favorite movie ever. And I have loved Karen Allen since she was Katy in "Animal House", quite possibly my other most favorite movie ever. (Yes, I know: those are an odd couple of choices. I won't even mention what the other two contenders are.) The best thing, to me, about "Raiders of the Lost Ark" back in 1981 wasn't the special...

If it wasn't for bad luck, I wouldn't have no luck at all.

Some of the funniest performances on TV, ever. Classic, timeless, just as fun to watch now as they were over 30 years ago. Even as a high-schooler I admired his gift for doing dialects, for creating ch...
