Dead Dolphin Dream

Last night I dreamt of a dead (or dying) mother dolphin. She had several calves (far more than dolphins have in reality) and they were about the size of my hand. I knew that if I didn't help the tiny babies they would die, but I didn't know what to do. As usual in my dreams there was some ambient chaos that kept distracting me from the important matter at hand. I remember looking down at one of the babies I held in my hand and seeing that it's skin was starting to shrivel and I knew that before long it would die if I didn't do somthing to help it. Then, of course, before anything ever gets resolved, I wake up.

A monitor lizard invaded my dream last night. Then, escaped quickly thru the drop ceiling. That's better than dreaming of bus wrecks. The all knowing net implies change. Well, duh, isn't it always changing? Isn't change the only constant? When change isn't intrinsically applicable, That'll be something to read. Seeking answers from the species rather than the totem this time, Monitors are opportunistic, aggressive, and excellent swimmers. That sounds about right. Anyone in attendance at one of its rare and improvisational performances is a member of the group. Participants are encouraged to set up interactive installations for group experimentation. The first LCAB event was in 1993, and there have been seven shows since then, the 8th is on April Fool's Day, 2007. Snakebits, Thugs, & Lost Patience

Very strange dream this morning... my snake was loose and everytime I would capture her she would bite me on my left ring finger. There was also an incident with some very well dressed thugs who were wanted by the law changing their tire in front of my bldg. I harrassed them, they threatened me, and I laughed and proclaimed that they weren't very West Oakland and I was unafraid of them. Then, I walked back inside where a big fancy Christmas party was letting out next door and all sorts of very well dressed affluent folks were walking down the stairs. An asian woman dressed in lime green wanted to ask me a question. I had no patience with her, tried to rush her question, made her too nervous to ask, and then walked away. My front doors were open and my house was decorated with lots of x-mas garb. I shut my doors. Thinking that I did not want any of these affluent people thinking that my house was an extention of the party. Also, earlier in the dream, I vaguely remember being on a bed that was traveling down the railroad tracks slowly. I rembember thinking, "This isn't right at all, this isn't safe" and pushed my bed off the tracks. Funny thing was, when I was riding on the tracks the ride was smooth, more like BART than a train. I was very crabby in my dreams, which makes sense since my damn cat, Buddy, kept walking all over me in my sleep and pissing me off. Very strange indeed.

iso photography assistant job

A friend of mine is looking for a Photographer's Assistant job. He has a degree in photography and has been working for many years now as a personal assistant of sorts. He's a great personal assistant / office assistant, but I'd really like to see him put his skills to work in the field that he's passionate about, photography. Any leads are greatly appreciated. Even if it's just tips on how to break into the photography field in the bay area.

2007 Hopes

I hope... 1. I get to go on The Price Is Right in LA for my birthday March 5th. 2. I can get everything in order to sell my brother's house in St.Louis and invest the profits wisely. 3. My current relationship keeps growing and improving. 4. To travel abroad, maybe to Europe, Bali, or Peru. 5. To remodel some aspects of my place quickly in the spring. 6. To morph my beater truck into a fantastic art car that doubles as a stage. 7. To have an awesome grey-water herb garden at Burningman this year. 8. To climb Mt. Shasta 9. To develop my singing with the band I just joined or solo thru my performance art. 10. To spend more time meditating and manifesting! What are your hopes for 2007? Manifesting things is so much more fun than those nasty old resolutions that we never seem to keep anyway! Happy Hoping!

X-mas Potluck @ Bunni's

All I want for X-mas is a white elephant. And, a pot-luck dinner. So, you got it... my place (1919 Market St. West Oakland)... next Monday (otherwise known as x-mas). Dinner around 7pm. Probably goes all night so come by for drinks after your other plans if you have them. Pot-luck means bring a dish or some booze or somethin'. White elphant means you wrap up something from around your house that you don't want anymore. The stranger the better. We'll be playing 'rob yer neighbor' with the gifts. Last night I dreamt of an african grey parrot. I approached the bird and was warned by a woman that it was not friendly. I ignored her warning thinking only of the darling african grey parrot, Lucy at the pet store I frequent. Somehow I let the bird out of it's cage and loose into the house and the latter part of the dream was of myself, the woman, and her daughter trying to recapture the bird. Whenever an animal crosses my path I like to explore the totem meanings behind it. I found this excerpt which resonated with me: "Parrot teaches listening to all of nature and awakening to the language within using intuition for more open communications." ( http://www.starstuffs.com/animal_totems/dictionary_of_birds.htm ) I've had a bit of communication issues as of late. I suppose I'll meditate on that parrot for a minute and maybe gain some insights on new communication strategies.
