Native Americans protesting a proposed coal-fired power plant on their land

   Mon, January 15, 2007 - 1:20 PM
A corporation is trying to build a power plant on Navajo land in NM. Native American residents don't agree and are conducting a peaceful protest. Read about it at:
www.desert-rock-blog.com/blog/...6.html
and
www.ienearth.org/alerts.html#dine121406

Residents are already sick of the pollution (2 other major power plants, and waste) on their land. This corrupt corporation is dancing around the law (with the assistance of some corrupt powerful people in the Navajo Nation).
Help these resistors protect THEIR land!
Write the people listed in the contacts section of the desert-rock-blog, and spread the word. You can also send donations to support the resistors. Especially money for firewood during cold temps.
