true. like don't snowboard for 4 days straight....i'm hurting...i'm pretty much worthless (work wise) this week. now i have to make up for lost time next week.

You mean like : "Don't merge Time Warner with AOL"? Is that what he meant by stupid things not to do? "Don't marry a whiney, annoying woman who single-handidly set the democratic party back thirty years" type of stupid?

I'm sorry, but Ted Turner is a fluke in terms of the business success community.

saw an interivew with him
Actually I saw him in an interview on 20/20 about donating and how america gives. He had some interesting things to say about the rich and those who give and those who don't. He was the first person to donate much of his fortune. Unfortunately because of some unlucky business choices, he hasn't done so much of that. I thought he was kind of funny because he is rather kooky - but in a good way. He had me laughing.

Turns out "smart" has lots of different definitions... some people think that taking big business risks is dumb, but then most of those people don't get the big successes that Ted has had. Those people also don't lose as much money as Ted, either.
