Are you ready for the 3rd annual rubber duck race at SOAK*? I have trophies for a kids race and an adult race this year. 35 ducks will be available for people who don't have one for the decorating workshop at 11am on Saturday. Race will commence at NOON. Doubting the amount of water in the creek this year so lets just say it will take YOUR skill to win...be prepared.

We have some ideas and events in mind, but are really looking forward to hearing from you --your ideas, and how you want to shape your regional burn. Our first meeting will be held at: Rontoms, 600 E. We will be hosting a Black Rock Ranger Training again this year at the event. The training is recommended for anyone interested in becoming a Black Rock Ranger (registration required). Rangers are volunteers who help keep Soak* and other regional events safe. They help orient folks, hold fire and safety perimeters, meditate disputes between participants. Soak* Rangers are critical to the functioning of regional events. Without them, it would be difficult, if not impossible for these events to take place. Being a Soak Ranger is a way to share in the responsibility of hosting our regional events.

if you haven't been reading my blogs, i am in the slow and painful process of down sizing my friends list. the way i blog is so personal and diary like. i feel like i have been openly criticized and taken shots at by so called 'friends' lately that it made me think about who actually has the access to read my inner workings of my mind. if you are cut from my list, it is not personal. it means i don't know you very well, haven't spent time with you in a while or can't remember where i met you. if you are really upset about it, just pm me and let me know. if you're not on the list i still like you! you are still awesome and it is only that i don't know you very well, but we can change that. the people that are left are the people i feel safe blogging around and are in contact with on a regular/semi-regular basis.

ok, i went for like three weeks without blogging and it basically was an exercise in trying to remember cool things to share.. so much happened in the weeks leading up to the burn, all good, all growth and it was hard not to post anything to you guys.. i also had a few conversatins with people asking why i wasn't blogging anymore because they liked reading the soap opera that is my life. lol. i think it is funny and know it reads like drama sometimes.. so anywho, i'm back from the burn and ready to blog again. here's to my new life.
