Dear Senator Martinez,

Dear Representative Diaz-Balart,

and..Senator Bill Nelson
U.S. Senate
716 Hart Senate Office Building
Washington, DC 20510-0001

Dear Senator Nelson,

If you have not already, please cosponsor H.R. 503/S. 1915 and
vote for this bill to end horse slaughter when it comes to the
floor.

Please support Reps. Sweeney, Spratt, Whitfield, and Rahall in
the House and Sens. Ensign and Landrieu in the Senate when they
go to the floor and ask for your vote on this legislation. As
your constituent who cares about horses, I want to see our
horses protected from the abuses inherent in the slaughter
process. Also, I would like to believe that when the people
speak out and Congress takes action, their will is not ignored
and our democracy functions as it should.

Congress has now passed several amendments by overwhelming and
bipartisan majorities in both the House and Senate to shut down
horse slaughter for human consumption. The U.S. Department of
Agriculture has refused to implement a ban.

We must pass a permanent ban on the slaughter of American horses
for foreign export. I am asking for your immediate help in
passing H.R. 503/S. 1915.

Please, I love Horses so much and would hate to think that we
are killing them in our own country to send out to other
countries who eat them.

Sincerely

S
