My divorce is final :-)
The papers arrived yesterday as I was mailing off my taxes with an unexpected refund :-)
The bad news is that I have to sell my Harley. :-(
The bitter sweet news is that I think I found a buyer :-) :-(
The bad news is that I have to shut down my real estate office :-(
The good news is that if the sale of the Harley goes through I don't have to move out of my house into my motor home :-( :-)
The bad news is that I have to find a job :-(
The bad news is that I'm sharing my house with my ex :-(
The good news is that I got to spend Saturday working Security at Yuri's Night with my fellow BRC Rangers :-)
The Good news is that I had a great run to Half Moon Bay with the Marin Hog Group on Sunday :-)
The bad news is that it doesn't look like I'll be doing that again any time soon :-(

......... the wonderful magical dust. I'm heading home. I reserected the motorhome and it even passed smog. I believe that the technicians exact words were "I'll be dipped in shit". Indeed, but the old gal wants to go home to. So with some repairs and new toys added. We are off to the playa in a few hours. I hope to see everyone who is going.

Ranger Sir Bill
Still probably camping in the red light district with at Arachned's web but who knows. I'll post my location on the Ranger Bulliten Board at Ranger HQ in Center Camp.

It felt great to be on a playa again, heat, dust, wind what's not to like. It is always great to Ranger. I love it even when there isn't anything happening. I was one of the first Rangers to get there on Thursday and it was fun to see the event come together.

Shiho and Lulie riding the pink cooler is an image I won't soon forget. In fact I know I won't forget it, I have a photo.

Thanks Sunburn Sara for the great hospitalty.

Thanks Cheese Bikini ( I wonder if she ever changed her name/) and Vigra for the great food at Phat Elvis Camp. I was well fed for playa living.

I had a blast hanging with Rangers and nudists alike. Party Naked was a great spot.

A Burning Experience

I went to Burning Man last year for the first time and I noticed what a magnificent job the Black Rock City Rangers did. So I decided to become a Black Rock City Ranger and what a great experience it was. I ended up working seven shifts and I met some wonderful Rangers and a lot of great participents. But most of all it was so rewarding helping participents solve their problems and make their experience a better one. Even after I left at 4:00 am on Monday and after having a blow out in the middle of no where I set up my chair on the berm next to my motor home and gave all the burners a friendly Rangerly wave as they streamed by for 6 hours before help arrived. I was a little sorry that the tow truck came a hour earlier than the Highway Partol officer said it would. I was having fun waving and getting waves, hoots and honks back at me. What a great experience Burning Man is.
