I went on pilgrimage to the desert temple, to find release. A young bird struggling, parched in the ash nest of my former self. She gave me the waters of the spirit, filling me with all I could hold. When the water rained down my cheeks I was filled with joy, release, and eternal gratitude.

Later, we danced in the water, swaying under the round moon, arms reaching to that dark shimmering light. We saw each other as sisters in healing, but in my sight she is eternally the goddess who facilitated mine.

I love Sylvia. For nearly eighteen years of my life I have loved Sylvia and I hold her as one of my dearest beloveds on earth. And truthfully anyone who has ever been touched by her powerful, sweet, heart loves Sylvia. You can hear her distinct witch’s laugh before she catches you in her piercing, alert, mischievous love eyes. She is dreamer, healer, dancer, singer, elder, witch, tantrica, teacher, priestess, Goddess. She is lightning, deep waters, ecstatic breath, conduit to earth and the cauldron of alchemy combined. She is exquisitely sexy, funny, wise and has touched thousands with her impact. And although she walks among the masses serving communities and our circles so selflessly, she also is a hermit, spinning her creativity in her unbelievable art, trance-like songs, seamstress designs and all this at the same time. This dear woman holds the inspiration of about 100 people in one body and loves with ferocity of heart for every moment that I have known her. And to boot, I count her as one of my teachers here who has taught me how to love and honor myself and my gifts. And I haven't even said that with all this, she is also a mother. Lucky for you, she's writing a book. Sylvia is too good to miss. She will be generous if you ask her to be your friend. She always believes the best in us even if we sometimes fail her.
