"Disowned by the Ownership Society" by Naomi Klein
"Before the ownership society had a neat label, its creation was central to the success of the right-wing economic revolution around the world. The idea was simple: if working-class people owned a small piece of the market (...) they would cease to identify as workers and start to see themselves as owners, with the same interests as their bosses (...). Class consciousness would be a relic.

La represión física o mental es por cierto una dimensión importante del poder dominante, pero si un pueblo modifica radicalmente su visión de las cosas, si piensa de manera distinta y autónoma, no hay poder que pueda oponersele

The Alliance of Civilizations
The Secretary-General of the United Nations has launched an initiative, co-sponsored by the Prime Ministers of Spain and Turkey, for an Alliance of Civilizations.
The initiative responds to a broad consensus across nations, cultures and religions that all societies are interdependent, bound together in their development and security, and in their environmental, economic and financial well-being.
The Alliance seeks to forge collective political will and to mobilize concerted action at the institutional and civil society levels to overcome the prejudice, misperceptions and polarization that militate against such a consensus. And it hopes to contribute to a coalescing global movement which, reflecting the will of the vast majority of people, rejects extremism in any society.
Events of recent years have exacerbated mutual suspicion, fear and misunderstanding between Islamic and Western societies. This environment has been exploited by extremists throughout the world.
Only a comprehensive coalition will be able to avert any further deterioration of relations between societies and nations, which could threaten international stability. The Alliance seeks to counter this trend by establishing a paradigm of mutual respect between civilizations and cultures.
To guide this initiative, the Secretary-General, in consultation with the co-sponsors, has established a High-level Group (HLG) of eminent persons.

Mission and Priorities
In 1986, Greater Vancouver’s cultural community created the Alliance for Arts and Culture to provide a strong voice for the sector and an avenue to work together. This coalition now numbers more than 320 arts groups and individuals.
Mission statement
We are an alliance of arts and culture organizations and individuals drawn from all artistic disciplines.
We lead Greater Vancouver’s arts and culture community by advocating for our sector, facilitating connections within the arts and with other sectors, and providing information to and about our community.
We strive towards an environment that recognizes, respects, and responds to the contribution our sector makes to society’s well-being.
Values and principles
The following points explain what we believe and value, as well as how we conduct our business.
Arts and culture in society
1. Arts and culture are woven into our society’s fabric, contributing vitally to our health and well-being. This fact gives rise to the following principles:
Any act to support or recognize arts and culture’s essential nature enhances our society’s energy and productivity;
Any act to reduce support for arts and culture depletes our society’s energy and productivity;
Arts education helps people to understand and function in the world. Students should receive an education in the arts as early as possible, and they should be given the resources to continue studying the arts throughout their lives;
Professional and nonprofessional art production has value to our society;
All members of society should have access to and respect for the diversity of art making, as we live in a varied, multicultural society.
2. A society that promotes free public debate is responsible, flexible, and just. All levels of government should permit and support artistic production that questions the status quo.
3. Artists have specific needs and working conditions necessary to pursue their art practice. Government legislation should recognize and reflect artists’ special needs, as these individuals contribute greatly to our society.
4. Artistic excellence requires innovation, risk taking, and experimentation.
5. Arts and culture activities help people participate in community. These services also encourage a mutual responsibility to preserve, sustain, and promote art.
Operations and governance
1. We operate in a fiscally responsible manner.
2. Our advocacy efforts serve the best interests of our membership. When different points of view exist within the arts and culture community, we share research and encourage dialogue on the issues, so our members may make more informed decisions and comments.
3. We support the independence of arts and culture organizations when asked to represent this community to all levels of government.
4. We welcome diverse arts and culture groups and individuals as members.

about me
Artivist
Free thinker
Free Spirit
Art & Politics have been around me since I was born. A lot of struggles, manifestations, etc were planning in my house, so I grew up between secret meetings of activists. Art is part of my life since I may remember, I used to play to do theatre play and LPs (now CD). I recorded my first LP with 8 years old, wrote my first theatre play with 6 years, and my first perfomance with 8 years old too, sure you can do an idea :o). I need music to breath and dance to link with my inner self !!
Natural born free spirit and thinker (like my friends use to call me), I like to learn not to be "educated", that is the reason why I have been turned out to all my schools, universities, etc (since kindergarden with 5 years hahahaha yep!! It's me) who likes dogmas? who want to be a fotocopy? "another brick in a wall"? come on !!
My friends think I'm a very jolly person and a bit insane, I use to smile, laugh, and to be joking (you can ask my tribe's friends they are tired !! hahahaha), but I can be very serious and categorical too. I dislike empty words, so I haven't problems with silence . When I'm sad I like to read Nietzsche's books are very funnies !! but take my camera, a moleskine (I love them), or to listen music works too.
I'm involved in several social struggles around the world. I think we are living in a "plutocracia" (rich's goverment), and I'm trying to fight thru my artwork and supporting all those iniciatives wha I believe in.
I don't believe in gods (them/she/he/it). I have been searching my inner self and this searching took me to several places like deserts, artic and Goa i.e. I believe all of us ARE ONE with life, universe,... because all are formed by an energy who I call Love and scientists call hygrogen, so to hurt to somebody (person, animal, nature...) it's hurt to yourself, don't be stupid ok? One LOVE can be a great quote for me hahaha. I like some beliefs like shinto, asatru, natives, but I haven't a religion, I simply celebrate life !!
I work as TV/Film producer and director specially of DoKumentaries and currently I'm helping a cultural foundation as fundraiser and project manager (design, create, and manage some cultural projects). I going to move my studio to BERLIN, an amazing city for me who give me inspiration and with a lot of possibilities. Berlin going to be the "headquarters" of a great artivist project called "Kommune 1" (dokumentaries, films, theatre, photo, perfomance, street artivism, etc, together with an open space for free thinkers), included in our key concept URBAN CREATIVITY (related with Urban Communicative, direct democracy, participatory budget, p2p, localvores, sustainable economy and more). That is our ECOSYNERGY ART KIEZ.
