Hey y'all! Dan and his urban arts project continues Friday... with a new twist, a dj showcase. Bring your favorite set and sign in to win $200. The cash goes to the biggest crowd pleaser of the day. What a strange voyage I've had this time home. I'm full of hope for my return, I'm considering this to be a fresh start. Being in the "rust belt" area of the country has given me great perspective of what I gotta do to be happy and who I really am, the good, the bad and the sometimes ugly. I'm still looking for an easy going room to call my own, if anyone has a suggestion please lemme know. I'll see ya around.

I'm headed back east to get my ish together, I'll be back in July sometime. Big ups to you all for making the last few years challenging and educational. We gave it a good run. As a result of the hard work of all of us the "scene" is maintaining a steady pulse. There's alot I could say here but I'll leave it at thank you. Moreover, thanks for puttin' up with my crazy ass as much as you have, your patience will not go unrewarded. Take good care of them speakas eh, it's gonna be a long summer. More importantly take care of each other, and do your best not to let your wins or losses get in the way of your direction. You guys will be in my thoughts and in the stories that I tell for a long time. I'm leavin' on monday night if anybody wants to kick it before then gimme a holler. Synr out.

The TCO will be hosting a big fat Halloween party on Oct 27th lineup to follow soon. We will be holding it at the the same venue that the Fiesta party was. We have great plans for this one and yet another first class lineup. I'll keep you posted.

Saturday Aug 4th the Turntable Cooperative has put together something very special for you.
We have secured a never before used venue just a few blocks from the beach.
5000 sq ft of room to get your party on. This will be an all ages event with a separate bar
area for those of you who are 21. We will be bumpin' from 830 till 130. We have confirmed
a local all star lineup for your listening pleasure.
As always it will be a $5 cover(unlike all of the joke bars on State who raise their cover to 30-50 bucks

I'm starting a monthly pressed magazine

In full support of the music and art culture that we enjoy here in SB, a zine for us and about us. Hit me up if you have some ideas or think you're cool enough to have a feature 'bout you. I'm going to start with a few dj bios and show reviews, following that a tattoo feature, then graf art. Big things! I hope to develop an all inclusive underground music and and art zine. The Independent is really starting to bore me, Juxtopose cost too much, fuck it I'll make my own.

1. Weekly columnist (I will have one of my own) plus someone I find with a legit idea for there weekly column.

4. Print shopper, direct source printing, I do not want to use a chain.

It is also a goal to send a respectful nod to Adbuster magazine, so it will be ad free. Also, I would love feed back on how much you would kick down for a copy . It will most likely be free, but do you think 25cents is fair? If I charge a quarter, I could get higher quality printing done. Hmmm, I'll figure it out.

Headed to LA this wed, to see my favorite MC, shit he's my favorite all time artist.
