Poi in the Park Saturday, Sept 13th Poi in the Park Returns! We will be at Philippe Park in Safety Harbor this Saturday, Sept 13th between 1 and 2 and staying til about 4 or so. The link with a map is http://www.pinellascounty.org/park/11_Philippe.htm. Safety Harbor is just north of Clearwater. The closest major intersection is McMullen-Booth and Enterprise Rd. We will be near the end of the parking lot for shelter #6 or you can go past shelter 6 and park on the road. Call me if you need directions or need to find us at the park. Bring snacks, drinks, water, maybe potato salad or fresh fruit. We will try to bring some chicken from Publix or something like that, ice and a cooler. We will more than likely go to Clearwater Beach for Fire Night afterwards, Pier 60, sunset-ish, on the beach, next to the 1st lifeguard stand to the right of the pier. See ya soon! Mayhem

WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT!! VOLUNTEERS ROCK!! Please message me here or email me @ tampamayhem@yahoo.com or just go to the Transformus website and volunteer, even if its not for Rangers!! Just go to www.transformus.com/community/ and join your team of choice by using the *join this team* link. Its free and you get to meet lots of groovy people! We ask that you sign up on as many teams as possible, just dont spread yourself too thin. And please, be a good burner and show up for your shift if you do sign up. If you dont know when you want to sign up, please sign up at the event. All teams need volunteers, its better to have too many than too few. Volunteering is a way to give back. Please sign up even if you do have a theme camp, we cant do it without YOU! And if you havent figured it out yet, the more volunteer support we have, the more likely the cap can be raised and more ppl can come to the event. Poi In The Park Returns! 3/1 or 3/2

Poi In The Park Returns! Sat 3/1 or Sun 3/2 It has been too long since we have had a Poi in the Park and it is time to play in the park! We are already going to be in March! I am wondering if it would be better to have PIP on Saturday or Sunday. Please let me know if anyone has a preference if they can make it. So please post if you are interested in this, or any other PIP. Let me know if you want to have a PIP in your area. Like Orlando, Sarasota, Brandon or wherever and we will see about having it in your area or at least get people together in your area. I am thinking of having this PIP in Tampa @ Al Lopez Park or in Safety Harbor @ Philippe Park. Both are nice locations with plenty of shade and restrooms. Poi in the Park - Tampa/Clearwater

I would like to find out how much interest there would be to have a “Poi in the Park” non-fire practice session during the day so we can really see each other and what we are doing and hopefully learn a bit more from each other. It would not only be poi practice, but anything people would want to learn - staff, fans, flags or any other implement of destruction and how to move/dance with it. It would probably be better to have it on the weekend, Saturday or Sunday, so more people will be able to make it. I am looking for feedback to find out if this is the best time or possibly have a couple of different practice events, one during the week and one on the weekend so more people can attend. I want to try and start one in Clearwater, and maybe another in Tampa. This is just a feeling out process. I don’t want to clutter this list with more chatter than necessary so please reply to me off list and if there is enough interest, I may make a group, either yahoo, myspace or tribe. So let me know what you think so we can get the ball rolling, or the poi spinning!! Hope to hear from you soon! Mayhem
