Flattery Will Get You Everywhere:

July 28, 2008
I must say Tamra Henna is my favorite dancer to play for. She knows all the beats front to back and so flexible and wonderful to play for. Just a wonderful dancer with great stage presence!

This lady has it ! She understands the music and studies the dance . I admire her she is a a student until the bitter end . Her ability to push herself to practice makes her a great dancer . I am so impressed with her ability to combine Egyptian Lebanese and the wow of American classic to make what you can only call TH style . This girl will make you want to get up and dance and go home and practice. And I am not sure what special power she has with her children ... they are some of the best behaved and intelligent people I have had the pleasure to be around.

Tamra Henna is awesome! She has a light from within that shines brightly around her and fills the room when she dances.

Thus Spake Tamra Henna

Re: Looking for dance shoes (in Dallas /Ft. Worth Middle Eastern Dance) I have two pair, which I got from Serena. She knows a dancer in Taos who has them. I got a pair of silver and a pair of gold for about $20 each.

I've worn them a LOT, and they protect my feet, BUT...

They are totally synthetic and don't br... read more

Looking back, looking forward... (blog entry) So, 2008 is gone. Khalas! I'm glad to give it my back, honestly - it's been a difficult year, personally.

So, 2009 is here. I'm making changes, trying to get balance and perspective in my life (and order in my house, for once!)

The Reluctant Blogger

So, 2008 is gone. Khalas! I'm glad to give it my back, honestly - it's been a difficult year, personally.

So, 2009 is here. I'm making changes, trying to get balance and perspective in my life (and order in my house, for once!)

The first thing I've done to restore that balance is to relinquish my scheduling duties at Al Amir and at Kasra. The transitions weren't without some hiccups, but those only served to reiterate that I'm making the right decision not being in charge of other d... read more

That'll get you all your classes, activities, food, and lodging - all you have to do is get yourself there and if you're in Texas, you can hook up with your fellow campers and carpool - can you say ROAD TRIP?

If you've been on the fence, there's still time to sign up! I can't express what an amazing experience Dance Camp is - if you've never been, th... read more

AND people seemed to like what I did, though for the life of me I couldn't tell you what that was.

So far this year, I've performed with live music three times, including Georges Lammam and his ensemble (with Amina Goodyear on percussion) and Souhail Kaspar, plus local Dallas musicians Win... read more
