      <title>ACQUAINTED WITH THE NIGHT</title>

    &lt;/a&gt;
										&lt;div&gt;I have been one acquainted with the night&#xD;
I have walked out in rain -- and back in rain&#xD;
I have outwalked the furthest city light&#xD;
I have looked down the saddest city lane&#xD;
I have passed by the watchman on his beat&#xD;
And dropped my eyes, unwilling to explain&#xD;
I have stood still and stopped the sound of feet&#xD;
When far away an interrupted cry,&#xD;
Came over houses from another street&#xD;
But not to call me back or say good-bye&#xD;
And further still, at an unearthly height,&#xD;
One luminary clock against the sky&#xD;
Proclaimed the time was neither wrong nor right&#xD;
I have been one acquainted with the night&#xD;

      <title>No Such THING!</title>

Function: noun&#xD;
1 : the act or condition of coinciding : CORRESPONDENCE&#xD;
2 : the occurrence of events that happen at the same time by accident but seem to have some connection; also : any of these occurrences &#xD;
&#xD;
Coincidence is the noteworthy alignment of two or more events or circumstances without obvious causal connection. The word is derived from the Latin co- ("in," "with," "together") and incidere ("to fall on").&#xD;
&#xD;
Remarkable coincidences sometimes lead to claims of psychic phenomena or conspiracy theories.&#xD;
&#xD;
The index of coincidence can be used to analyze whether two events are related. A coincidence does not prove a relationship, but related events may be expected to have a higher index of coincidence. From a statistical perspective, coincidences are inevitable and often less remarkable than they may appear intuitively. The odds that two people share a birthday, for example, reaches 50% with a group of just 22.&#xD;
&#xD;
I am convinced that there is no such thing as coincidence.  I am truly confident of this.  While it may seem apparent and be that things can be explained away in that manner, it is not the truth which lies behind a veil of interpretation.  This veil can be transparent at times or at others may seem like a brick wall.  At times we must view it thorugh the eyes of others or feel it by another's touch.  It is true that only when there is light on the other side can we see what is behind the veil. If there is birghter light on this side we cannot see, or if there is complete darkness on the other it is the same. &#xD;
