TO ALL A WHITE CHRISTMAS!

I have been busy the last few months. Hunting jobs, Working at my friends consignment and antique stores, picking up dead snakes,(Wookie has been busy too, she killed 3 snakes in the last month), and babysitting, but my search for a real job here has been exhaustive and without reward. Babysitting A LOT! My friend Colleens' daughter in law was in an horrific accident on I-80. stopped by a flagman at a construction zone, she was rear-ended by some idiot that was texting and slammed into her going 65 mph. Her 7 month old son was in the back seat. He miraculously was completely unhurt save a few small bruises where the straps held him in his car seat. Beck, however, was not as lucky and was life flighted to Lincoln. She is doing well, but will require extensive physical therapy. She needed 3 plates and numerous screws to reconstruct her right shoulder. All of us here are thankful for the miracle that everyone survived, and for the fact her 2 daughters were not in the car. I have decided to move back to LINCOLN!!! WHOO HOO! I really live a quiet fairly drama free life. There is way too much here for me. Although, the timing is not great for some it is great for me! Brenda,(the girl in the wedding dress, in my album), has moved back from AZ. Finally divorced the "DICK", really his name is Richard, it fits. I am moving in with her and her two girls, ages 9 and 7. The 9 yr old I got to hold in my arms when she was 2 months old and has grown into a beautiful young girl. Her younger sister is just as sweet. We have rented a big ol' house and I am as excited as a kid waiting for Santa to get there. We are going to start a catering co. I still have all my old contacts from my coffee cafe I had before. My new hobby is "picking", yeah like the show. I just scored 3 pieces and sold them for a tidy profit of $400. I know, not much but for a couple hours of non work, I'm happy! It helps to have friends who own consignment (Colleen) and antique(her daughter) shops. Plus they made their 30%, so we all won! A little background, Colleen and I lived together many years ago, now her three kids are grown and have kids and it is great to be able to be a part of the second generation, all the "grand kids" are so cute. I love kids, as long as they get to go back to Ma and Pa at some point. I enjoy taking care of them, I have been nicknamed MR. French. For two reasons, you guys figure it out.
Lincoln, will be great! I am going to finally get back to some action. I have not had much since I moved here. I already have a date. I have been chatting with the guy in the pic for a few weeks, so he is going to help me move in. My straight buddy Chris, amazing guy, is helping also, but I told him about Ryan and he is going to cut out when the truck is unloaded so Ryan and I will have a Date. I promised to make Chris an incrdible dinner, for his efforts. I have taught him how to cook, but he is 25 and always likes a Tanner meal. More on him later. He is a great Guy! I can't wait to get back into the POOL! I was going to say, I'm not a slut, but who are we kidding, I have 4 dates in the first week. That will slow down when Bren and the girls get there.

Three weeks and three days, and still no job! 20 some apps. No offers. I don't get it! Here is the letter of recommendation my former boss wrote for me. BTW he also gave me an extra $100 dollars on my final check, he said for my dedicated service.
Tanner has worked for me since Jan, 2011 until Mar, 31, 2012. During that time he worked all three shifts. He is extremely dependable and was always ready to work for anyone else who was unable to work for any reason. I am not sure there was ever a time that he refused hours, even working double shifts. He is a very clean and professional person, always wanting to make up and use checklists to ensure tasks were accomplished on a daily or weekly schedule. Tanner is someone who is always looking for paperwork to be in order and checks things over very thoroughly. He wants to work in a professional atmosphere that can use his many skills. He is proficient in Word, Excel, and our windows based front desk system, just to mention a few. He is a quick learner and applies common sense to most problems which is getting rarer in the workforce today. He has excellent phone skills, whether dealing with a guest issue, taking reservations, or just contacting people we do business with. He primarily worked the overnight 11-7 shift and gave notice of 25 days. He has always been someone who has shown initiative to go the extra mile to make things run better.

Three weeks ago I put in my notice at work. My last night was supposed to be Thursday, but go figure the other night guy called in! I have worked at this hotel since Jan. 16, 2011. I have never missed a day of work, never asked for a day off. I have been late twice, and those were days where I had worked 2 shifts because someone else had not shown up, worked 11pm to 3 pm and had to be back again at 11 pm. I over slept, but was only late 15 min. I have worked my ass off and cannot remember the last time I received a check that had less than 20 hrs of overtime. Being the end of the pay period I added up my hours, 27+ hours of overtime. I really like this job, lot's of hot men cum and go, I had the pleasure of checking in a crew team tonight, they were fucking gorgeous, but I have decided that being unappreciated for my efforts was enough! I have an opportunity to buy a laundromat, I am looking at that, it's the only one in town and it's closed. The guy wants too much, so I might just open my own. I have also applied at the local fence mfg. factory. I have never done this kind of work but could see myself sweating through the steamy Nebraska summer operating the machinery, coming home dirty and stinky, cracking a beer and heading to the shower. Either option is good, so I will see what happens. In any case I feel free! and am going to enjoy this new adventure! Wish me LUCK!

Wednesday was my birthday, my Dog baked me a cake, but ate it before I got home. She said she couldn't wait and it was really good! It's the thought that counts. BUT, today was a really good day! I got a $10 dollar tip from a little Canadian couple that I helped with their luggage, that's part of my job, they insisted! When I got home, the grocery store called and I had won the weekly drawing for the $100 gift certificate. I never put my receipt in the box, but I did on Tuesday. So WHOO HOO!! Being Thursday, it's housedude day, so my house got cleaned and so did my pipes! So Yeah it was a pretty good freakin' Day!
