Larry my man....he's the reason, years ago that I started to realize how alive the music scene still was. Always a gearhead, this guy had the high end taper gear back then...it weighed a ton and I know because I helped him carry it to many a show.
Great friend, dad, and if you ever want to know about computerized toilets, wine, remote controlled meat thermometers, or anything technogeeky, talk to Larry...

Larry is hard core to the bone: Taper extraordinaire, party animal, incredible dance partner, fantastic dad, great critical mind, and owner of very finely attuned pairs of eyes & ears.
If you're lucky enough to find Larry dancin' next to you, you know: You're at a kick-ass show, you're in the front row, you're right in the middle of a great dance party, and there is a distinct possibility that you just might hear it again! Muah!

Larry, Larry, Larry. I'll never forget meeting this guy. My first time patching out of a taper at an SCI show up in Mt. Shasta. I was all by my lonesome and Larry totally took me under his wing and showed me the ropes. I owe all I know about taping to this guy and made me appreciate all the hard work tapers do. And he's a nice guy on top of it all. Great kids and an awesome wife.

Larry loves music and thus, I love him. Not to mention his awesome taste in people. He is an icon in our music scene. If Larry thinks it's good tunes, than I'd probably agree...
Musicians play for the likes of this beautiful fellow...and I'm sure he has the recordings to prove it!
Much love to ya, sweet thang...looking forward to the next time we boogie...

Larry should run for mayor. He is a veritable wealth of information ranging from tech stuff to music to kitchen sinks. He is a wonderful family man, has a great sense of humor, a keen eye for beauty and a better ear for listening. He is my west coast music mentor and a wonderful true friend. Plus he loves to get down and party.

about me
I am discerning about lots of stuff (but its not absolute in ANY way) - I am a foodie, gear freak, LOVE a nice wave with lots of power, the folks I love, friends who matter - I love my real friends very much, food prepared mindfully, being aware of myself, excellent color balance, appreciate good lighting of space, always on the lookout for cool DESIGN, imagination and folks just plain using their minds. I am pretty freakin' sensitive.
I love dancing hard and smiling. Love taking care of my body and my mind, but I also like to abuse it with too much dancing and beers!!
I love my wife, Naoko and my two daughters, Aiyana and Nina.

I went with Joe Baker's Bay Recorders Organization and we had a great camp - it was fun to work together with all the crazies that made up the crew for the taping / cd duplication/ booth manning tasks...
What a crowd - I was confronted by one road-worn hippie telling me without any provocation on my part about "his first time he took acid"..
I walked away after saying thats cool brother man....didn't want to hear another story about that adventure, doubtless it would of been a long, perhaps boring story about the shape of a wine glass or some other profound concept.
Fun times!

James Welborn brought his college-days friend Sam to the show and Sam made LOTS of friends.
We went back to the house and drank more wine and played PS3 until 4 am!
What a night.

Hell, man you can MAKE ringtones for most phones free!!
My ringtones are bits from Phillip Glass compostions.
His appeggio heavy compositions make perfect phone rings imho...
I took the composition dance no 1 and edited it to be cycles of 5 instead of the 13 (or whatever it is) on the original..
Check it out:
www.philipglass.com/sounds/r...-no-1.mp3
Using any wave editor, its easy then save it and upload to phone > ringtone.
Not all phones will do this I hear...including the iphone.
Guess ya gotta pay 2 bucks for rainbow serpent ring tones.....ha ha (say like Nelson in the Simpsons)

Hey now
After a few months of no paycheck - but some hard work (Biodiesel) I start a new job on Tuesday January 9th.
I will be working at Universal Audio in Santa Cruz and best of all my workmates are Jimmy S. and Henry H., two folks I know from the 'taper community' or whatever its called now a days.
I am a little excited about working and having somewhere to go, etc. Being unemployed sometimes gets you a little down on yourself - especially in the daytime when everyone else is working and you are still in your pajamas at 10 am. I didn't exactly feel successful sitting there reading the business section of the NY Times while I am not participating in anything to do with what I am reading.
Then again, I started to not really care too much about it after a while and THAT is when I thought I should do something.
Met again with my friend Jamie - who is the founder of Simple Fuels and we're on track to begin fuel production this year. I am excited for the future
