Life Lessons: What is Intuition? by Jeannie Zukav, Tarot Readings by Jeannie in San Francisco

From my experience Intuition is natural. It encompasses all of our senses, the ones we know about and ones that are more subtle. Intuition is part of our survival mechanism. It helps us to see what is around us and is not bound by time or distance.

Some feel Intuition in their bodies, some hear it in their mind, some see it in their dreams, visions, and waking time, and all of us get those premonitions from time to time that tell us that our senses are working.

We all know the feeling when we know something wonderful or not so wonderful is about to happen. With Intuition it's much easier to know if you should move towards, or away from something or someone.

Trusting your Intuition means you are listening to your whole self. Allowing yourself to listen deeply helps you to stay on your authentic path. It helps you to be real and integrated.

When you develop your intuition you are clearing your ability to receive information you can trust. Intuition is always there waiting to come to your assistance.

Jeannie is a sweetie. She's got this extremely feminine kind of wisdom thing going on that's part earth mother, part sorceress, part siren. The combo is unbeatable. She knows what she's doing with those cards, and her interpretation is always down-to-earth, savvy, and helpful.

I was very skeptical about tarot card readers, but Jeannie opened up my eyes on what is possible with my relationships, career, and personal issues. She is very detailed and clear about her readings and she is dead on with the present issue at hand. I definitely recommend her.

Seeing the truth so we can heal as a whole

We are not separate from nature nor are we capable of being content when we separate from our own nature.

Healing makes us whole, closing the gaps and separations within.

While we work for own salvation, we must also work for the welfare of all beings.

Dalai Lama urges his fellow Tibetans not to resort to violence.

03/14/2008 16:18
TIBET – CHINA
Dalai Lama “concerned” about violence in Tibet caused by Chinese repression
The spiritual leader of Tibetan Buddhism and head of Tibet’s government-in-exile urges protesters not to resort to violence, calling on Beijing to respond with dialogue to the remands made by protesters. Unconfirmed sources claim that ten people have died in the clashes.

Dharamsala (AsiaNews) – The Dalai Lama is “deeply concerned over the situation that has been developing in Tibet following peaceful protests in many parts of Tibet, including Lhasa, in recent days.” For our spiritual guide, these “protests are a manifestation of the deep-rooted resentment of the Tibetan people under the present governance,” this according to Thubetn Samphel, spokesman for the Tibetan government-in-exile, who spoke to AsiaNews about reports concerning clashes that have taken place near Tibet’s major monasteries.

Local sources report that the Chinese army has deployed tanks in the Tibetan capital’s downtown. Anti-riot units have cleared away protesters led by monks; some have reported that “shots have been fired.”

American tourists also reported they heard “shooting in Lhasa.” Some unconfirmed reports refer to ten people killed during the clashes.

Some buildings in Old Lhasa are said to be on fire.

For Samphel the Dalai Lama “always said, unity and stability under brute force is at best a temporary solution. It is unrealistic to expect unity and stability under such a rule and would therefore not be conducive to finding a peaceful and lasting solution.”

In his appeal, the Buddhist leader called on “the Chinese leadership to stop using force and address the long-simmering resentment of the Tibetan people through dialogue.”

“The Dalai Lama,” he said, also “urged his fellow Tibetans not to resort to violence.”

As a government-in-exile, “we reiterate that all this is from a peaceful protest and call on the international community to intercede with Beijing so that it can immediately stop its violent repression, resulting from its attempt to deny the rights of the Tibetan people.”

Learning from the Wiser Ones

I'm in a flurry of research right now, working on my book. The chapter I am writing is about learning from the ones who came before us. At first you may think that means those who are no longer alive~our ancestors. And this in part is true. Might we also consider the ones who have been here longer on the earth than humans? Some would say that because humans are relatively new creations they are not as experienced with life in this world. Stones, Trees, Elephants, Cats, Birds, Whales for example have been here longer.

Why don't we learn from them? Why don't we listen to the experienced and wiser Ones?

Words to keep with you...from National Indian Council on Aging

National Indian Council on Aging

This Message to America is the result of the National Indian Council on Aging's Year 2000 Conference in Duluth, Minnesota. More than 1,200 Elders from 105 tribes across America attended and contributed to the words in this message. As you read this, think about our Elders. They came together in a true spirit of cooperation, setting aside tribal and political differences so that we and our children might have words of wisdom to help throughout our lives. Please forward and pass this message to as many people as you can, both Native and non-Native. These are the words of Native American Elders, but the values expressed in this message can be appreciated by all of humanity.

Spiritual Message from Elders

As we stand before the dawn of a new millennium, we pray for America's survival, our survival.

We pray that we will be given strength by the Creator to follow the footsteps of our forefathers to share our love, respect and compassion for one another. There is good in everyone because our Creator has put a little of Himself in all of us.

We pray for forgiveness for the pain and suffering we have caused one another.

We pray that our children will not repeat our mistakes.

We pray that we can respect the diversity of America; all life is sacred. Every child born is a precious gift of our Creator. It is our sacred trust to embrace children from all walks of life because we are part of the same family.

We pray that children will honor and respect their Elders-that is where the wisdom comes from. This respect will not allow forgotten Elders. We are all equal, with each having our own special gift to contribute. These values allow our youth to become leaders and workers in our society. Children, you are our future and our hope for the people. Stand and be courageous.

We pray to learn and use the wisdom of all that has come before us, to achieve personal successes and to contribute to those of others. Only when our young ones learn respect for everything can they evolve.

Earth

We pray for respect and love of Mother Earth because she is the foundation of human survival and we must keep her pollution-free for those who will travel after us. Protect her water, air, soil, trees, forests, plants and animals.

Do not just take and waste resources. Make it a priority to conserve.

The land is given to us by the Creator to care for, not to own. If we take care of the land, the land will take care of us.

Unity

We should have respect for each other. We pray for commitment and responsible behavior in order to help those in need and to give them support and friendship. Be an example in life that others may follow; serve people, community and country.

We should all strive to be a leaders and contributors. Do not sit back and let others plan and do all the thinking.

Let us unite together so that we may have the strength to protect our future. Strength comes from working through trials and tribulations.

Health

Spiritual health is the key to holistic health.

We pray to have the discipline to set healthy examples for our children to follow.

Respecting everyone and everything in the universe starts with self-respect.

Take time to listen and take care of your body and spirit.

Family and Youth

Family is important and precious. Always let them know that they are loved.

Let your children and grandchildren know you are always there to love and support them and that they mean the world to you no matter what they do or say. Children are of infinite value.

Live what you teach. Spiritual values, honesty, and integrity start in the home.

We pray for the youth. We must teach the youth to work together and respect all that is living on our Mother Earth.

We need to convey to our younger generations that the survival of our people lies in spirituality.

Peace

We pray to learn ways to settle differences peacefully.

Teach respect for each other's ideas. Value honesty on all levels, from children to parents to community to governments. We will be happy when we create peace with each other.

To the Seventh Generation

Survive
Keep hopes and dreams
Take care of yourself
Remember your spirit
Be there for each other
Respect courage
Share knowledge
Always keep learning
Remember your true values
