Tribe,
I haven't been on tribe lately, I've been doing some other stuff I haven't really made the time for tribe. Well I hope you all are having a good summer this year. I completed my work up at Prudhoe Bay, and now I think I'll see about finding work at Anchorage plus finding a place of my own up there. Well Take care and God Bless...Training Complete
Yeah!I completed my week of training, now that Im done I should be headed out to the north slope on the second week of February.. Till then I'll just be chilling and enjoying my time here in the village of Chevak and Hooper Bay. Well I can't wait to work, dam I burnt a hole in my pocket while I was training, well I guess once I work just for one day I should be able to build up my ca$h. Well I hope every things going in your favor... I guess this weekend I'll be checking my fish net. Well take care and EnJoy~

Well I recieved my training and now I guess, I get to play the waiting game.. Dam, I can't wait to work and get out of the village, I wish I went stright back to work. I thought I'd be heading straight for work, well I guess the people that set-up the training didn't have everything planned. I need to wait for an employer or should I say contractor to call up the training company and wait to get picked from the list.. I wish life was set-up so that you don't have to bust your @ss, but It's good that theirs a whole lot of opportunity out there. Well I guess for now im just a sitting duck waiting for change~Today... Training
Well my classes started at 8 am in the morning, right now the company is just giving us an all day safety training. Well in order to work in the North Slope we'll need a NTIC Training care (I guess its some kind of North Slope Card that says you attended an 8 hr course in safety). Well The training went well, It was nothing I didn't know, it was all review... Well I hope you all are doing well..Heading out to Fairbanks!!!
Hell Yeah!!I'll be heading out to Fairbank Alaska for welding training.... Oh I forgot to mention I came back from moose hunting and I caught a young bull moose! I had to drink some of the blood since it was my first moose I ever caught in my life... Before I was going to take a sip of the blood I thought It would be bad, but when I took a sip of the warm blood it wasn't that bad, I would have had a cup of blood if I had a chance.... Well I need to give away 50% of my moose to the elders since it's a Cup'ik tridition (on a first catch of moose) several months ago I caught a big seal "about 10 feet" I had to give it all away to the village and I didn't mind, but the next seal I'll get to keep the whole seal! Getting Training Soon!!!
Yeah! if everything goes all-right then I'll be getting training on the 14th for welding. From there I'll be working for some company up at the North Slope, Brrr it's going to be cold up there sometimes at the North slope it gets below 50 or colder with wind chill. Well I hope to check out tribe more often. Well It's been ok here in the village of Chevak, and lately the fish nets haven't caught as much as the usual. Sorry I hadn't been here on tribe, well I'm here in Chevak, a village in Alaska that has about 1000 or so people in town and the next closest village is 20 miles away. I've been mainly hunting, fishing and just helping out the family here in Chevak. I caught a bearded seal several months ago and I gave it all away to the villagers "mainly the elders" of Chevak. The Elders were greatful since it was my first catch, "triditonally" we usually give out our first catch to the elders and we usually don't keep any of the animal. Today Im going to check out my uncles fish net and tonight I might as well have some fresh caught fish for dinner. Well Sorry about my miss-spelled words. Oh I hope to go on tribe more often, well it's kind of hard to get on the net here in the village... Well I hope you all had a good Thanksgiving and Good Holiday.
