I've never met Troy, and I've never written a testimonial for someone I've never met, but he has helped me with chemistry and the peripherals as much as my professors have. Respect.

Troy is wonderful!
Not only does he look snappy in a constable costume, but he knows the heimlich and saves people's lives. He's a great conversationalist- compassionate, honesty, and deep down, fiery.

I was at a BDSM munch here in Portland while talking to a woman. During this conversation she asks what I'm into, to which I answer: "I'm very sensual (listing a few things I like) but not into S/M or D/S." At this point, she starts lecturing me on how all forms of sensation play are S/M (because no one likes pain) and how every type of pyschological play is D/S. Not even the polite "I learned something different" dissuaded... read more

Now If I can just survive the politics, which isn't going to be easy: I'm out-spoken, direct and honest, I don't kiss ass or kowtow to anyone. I work with people but I don't work for them, that is I'll work towards common goals but I won't abandon my objectives for the sake of a job. I also have a lot of experience which can be a problem all by itself. Many Ph.D.s suffer fr...

After struggling with failing health for the past few months the last of my cats, Shadow, died last night. He was sweet and affectionate to the end. Like all my cats, he was a stray when I found him and was probably a year or two old at the time. He lived with us for about 15 years.

I'm going to miss him a lot.
I'm home on business today but will get to play tonight at BaGG. See you all tonight, if not, I wish you well.

Oh how I want to be in SF for the New Year - absolutely won't happen if I can't get out of my driveway.

As you know, it has been snowing here in Portland and I've got 18" to 2 feet of snow where I'm living. To get out of the driveway, I'll need to shovel a car's width about a hundred feet to get to the street (yeh, I live on 3 acres in the country). A lot of good that will do me, chains have been declared mandatory which I don't have because the cable thingies they call chains for my car ... read more
