Anyone need a desk?

So as part of my move, i'm going to be getting rid of my desk, ideally as soon as possible. It's an ikea Mikael computer workstaion in black-brown just like the one in the picture. It's in good condition (about a year old) and is perfect for small San Francisco rooms. It's about 3'5" wide and 1'8" deep with lots of storage and a built in dry-erase board. It's a good desk and i like it, but my new room has soe nice big bay windows that i don't want to block with the shelves on the desk. I posted on CL to sell it for $50 obo, but so far my 2 bites have flaked on me. So i thought maybe someon of you tribe folk might be interested. Let me know!

Come rock climbing with me?

So some of you may know, but my new recent hobby has become rock climbing. I started climbing at Mission Cliffs a couple weeks ago and i'm really enjoying it and i want to start going more regularly at least 2 or 3 times a week. I've asked a few people if they want to try it with me and though some have said yes, it seems that schedules conflict. Would anyone else be interested in it?

The Pet is Poo

So i ordered this new movie The Pet on netflix and Freckledgirl and i watched it yesterday. The trailer looked ok...a movie about a gil being trained to be a pet...but towards the end it goes off into a tangent about illegal slave trafficking. but whatever...it still looked ok. But the movie itself was pretty awful. It was like one of those really bad porns wth a ridiculous plotline that is totally unrealistic...except there was no sex! Not one even remotey sensual scene in the whole movie. Plus there was worse than horrible acting and weird voiceover things. and then..the end credits were like a list of every country in the world (alphabetically) that has some obscure law that would somehow permit slavery or at least acknowledge in slave trafficking. It was lame. We watched because it was like a traing wreck you couldn't take ur eyes off of. but it was really bad. If you have netflix and want a little giggle at how a guy's dog died an he missed her so much so he decided to take a human and turn her into his dog. Finding a girl devastated by the tragic loss of her cat...and so desperate for love that she accepts a propsition to become a dog and basically sleep all day in like 80% of the scenes and then the drama starts when she was almost stolen to use her organs for sale on the black market by big bad men. don't worry...i left out the REALLY bad parts...watch it if you like train wrecks.

Upstate Day Trip?

So my brother is moving out here to CA to go to grad school in the fall at UC Davis. So he asked me if i'd take a look at some apartments for him. Naturally being the loving older sister that i am...i agreed to spend the day tomorrow up in Davis apartment hunting. Now i could do this on my own..but i think it would be infinitely more fun if someone came with me. Anyone up for a day trip?

So i went on Safari yesterday...my company had a little outing and took everyone to Safari West up in Santa Rosa. I think technically you're supposed to call it "Team Building" but when i think of "team building" i think of those obstacle courses where they put you in groups and make you figure shit out using teamwork and you do trust falls and crap. Always hated that kind of thing and so i was sort of dreading this trip..figuring "good god, what could they make us do at a wildlife preserve? Shovel giraffe shit together??" Luckily, this company is WAY more low key. they chartered us a nice bus and drove us out there...we hung around...drank some beer...hung around some more...saw a presentation with a live cheetah...drank some more beer...had lunch....grabbed a couple beers for the road and went on a tour of the place. It's kind of cool. I petted a giraffe...even though i wasn't supposed to. But that was way cool. He tried to drink the coffee that was in my hand at the time. They have crazy long purple tongues ...did you know that? i'm talking like 8in at LEAST. And according to the guide we have...they have full control of it to use to grab onto stuff like we use our thumbs. Could you imagine a person having a tongue like that? *shudders* they'd be way popular with the ladies...i tell you! We had a girl who has been like deathly afraid of giraffes since she had a dream about vaccuuming her house and a giant giraffe stuck his head in her window. Frankly. I thought that was hilarious but she started hyperventilating next to this giraffe so i guess she wasn't quite as amused. Anyway, the place isn't spectacular, just a few open pens with some giraffes, antelope, zebras and a couple cheetahs...oh and some cute little lemurs and a whole bunch of birds. They had the largest type of pidgeon in the world there. thing must have weighed a good 35-45lbs. It was HUGE!. Pidgeons are kinda dirty and gross to begin with... But imagine a 40lb pidgeon hopping around the street? The thing was scarey big.

Independance Day Adventure?

So i just found out today that my office is giving us off for the monday before the 4th of July. So i have like a 4 day weekend which is so great. In the past i have tended to fritter away long weekends doing nothing but sleep and lay around my apartment in my Pjs. However, in celebration of my newly found liberation into the kinky community, and in general my new life here in San Francisco, I feel like i can't let this opportunity pass with nothing more to tell than the fact that i watched ever single episode of the sopranos that weekend. SO, what am i getting at here...i think i need to take this opportunity of a 4 day weekend to go out and do something really fun. I just don't know what yet. I'd love to go somewhere or do something with all the new friends i've made on tribe and at places like BaGG and Whippersnappers. I have only been here a short time, but all of you have really made me feel at home and i am more at ease with some of you than i've ever been with any of my other vanilla friends. You've totally helped me out of my shell and now you're all going to be in trouble cuz y'all instigate me! But anyway, if anybody is around that long weekend lets plan a trip. I don't really care where...a camping trip? A road trip somewhere? an impromtu trip to Vegas? getting a big hotel suite to split amongst the lot of us and having a kink-a-thon all weekend. Whatever. am totally open to any and all ideas of fun stuff to do. I just want an unforgetable independance day weekend.

OMG...i am so horny today. I don't know what's wrong with me! It's been like this since i woke up at 6am this morning. I woke up and my first thought was "god i could use some vigorous morning sex" and then i got into the shower and thought about all the naughty things you can do with a playmate in the shower. Then i had a fleeting thought as i got dressed about not wearing underwear to work cuz it would be bad..and i had to shake my head cuz there was nothing bringing this on. I don't have a guy to come home and jump at the end of the day. I didn't watch porn or anything last night. I had macaroni and cheese and sat in my PJs with my roommate watching Under the Tuscan Sun! You can't get less kinky than THAT. I have no plans for any fun kinky sex this weekend. I'm going home to visit my parents for pete's sake! So WHY can't i stop thinking about it? I've been at work for a little over an hour now and have gotten NOTHING done cuz all i keep thinking about is someone bending me over my desk and spanking me. I'm trying to ignore it and focus on this boring spreadsheet and just when i think i am succeeding...BAM another visual of doing kinky naughty sexy things jumps in there and i have to snap myself out of it before i start drooling on my desk. So i was on the bus this morning, on my way to work as usual when i happened to glance at the woman sitting across from me. She had an...interesting...hairstyle. She had straight black hair that was pulled back into a low ponytail at the base of her neck. Now that in of itself is not uncommon. What made her stand out was the short mop of corscrew curls that sat right above her forehead. It truly resembled one of those bows you can buy at walgreens where you just peel and stick it to a gift wrapped present. It was as if she had just slapped it on her head to cover a bald spot, hoping no one would notice. Like a mullet gone terribly awry. Now that was interesting, but what really caught my attention was the fact that she had a good inch and a half long binder clip in her hair. I repeat...BINDER CLIP! Not usually an item you see in one's hair. I studied it for a while, blinking, wondering if maybe it was just a bit early and I wasn't seeing straight yet..but no..it was a binder clip. A big one. So by then I was really trying hard not to crack a smile after noting this...and I turned my attention elsewhere in bus where my gaze just seemed to fall on people's hair. A woman sitting across from me and a few seats to the right had used a pen to tie her hair up in a makeshift bun, like some women use chopsticks...she used a pen. To my left there was a girl who just had a ponytail in here hair but she had tied it with one of those industrial beige rubberbands you have in your office, that will rip out clumps of hair when she tries to take it out. Shortly thereafter it was my stop and i got off the bus and went on my merry way to work...allowing myself to smile a little at the thought of the binder clip lady. I sat at my desk..did some work for a while..then decided to grab a snack. So i went outside and down the street to walgreens. While inside i was perusing their selection of treats when a trio of semi ganster-esk kids walked into the same aisle. I didn't pay them much mind..until i noticed that one of the kids had something shiny in his ear. Now guys with earrings are not an uncommon sight in this day and age, however, having a paperclip looped through a hole in your ear is a little weird to me. I really tried not to stare but he really had a paper clip in his ear. Apparently the $1.50 it costs to buy and earring at claire's was asking a lot. Does that qualify as shabby chic? I go back to work and dutifully complete a hard days work sitting on my ass infront of a computer while checking my email thirty thousand times a day. I pack my things and i head home. As i'm walking back to the bus stop, there's a guy walking infront of me. Your typical financial district looking guy. Button down shirt, khakis, loafers. Well apparently unbeknownst to this individual, he had a Post-It note stuck to his butt. Like a nice 2x2 inch yellow sign screaming, "look at me! look at me!" Now a good sumaritan would have told the guy, "Sir you have a post-it note on the back of your pants." I am no such good sumaritan so i simply admired his post-it note covered ass all the way to the bus stop gaining immense amusement out of it. As I sat down on the bus chuckling a bit to myself i could help but think... Did i miss something? When did office supplies become the new wave of accessories? What's next? Should i start highlighting my hair..literally? Use white out for my french manicure? maybe buttons will go out and staples will be in this season. What is happening people!?!?
