Terry is a doer! How else can you describe a man who makes his own pink furry coat and matching diapers (or whatever he calls them). He sang Happy Birthday on my 50th, which puts him in an elite group. He has great el wire skills.

How does he do it with just spit and fur? Terry is open and generous of spirit, embodying the burner ethos.... and all while providing the fashion standard for the use of pink fur in haute couture.

What can one say about Mayor Terry? How does one put into words the accomplishments and deeds of a man that is both breathtakingly beautiful AND unaffected; brilliant and simple; gregarious and demure; a supernova and a whisper? How does one fit a lifetime into a few sentences?
Well, apparently, one doesn't - since I'm the first to do so.....
So, let me do it for you: Terry is what we all want to be when we grow up, what we wish we were when we reflect and what we want by our sides when we wake up in the morning. He is the embodiment of the spirit and the realization of the gay dream. He is so sexy that just getting an e-mail from him can make one orgasm; so brilliant that the same e-mail can leave one blinded; so handsome that Ralph Lauren and John Varvatos and Ungaro and Armani and Zegna all rejected him because they didn't think they could afford his hourly rate; so warm and genuine that one smile from his lips or kind word from his heart can sustain you for the rest of your life.
Most importantly - to me, at any rate - Terry is my friend....and that may be all I need to know....
Here's to you, your Honor. It is my distinct pleasure to know you!

Hey folks,
I tend to think tribe.net has jumped the shark. I'm browsing through the tribes that I used to daily visit & post on, and I'm seeing (on average) a new post per week, or per month. A few high-profile tribes (like Burningman) are still rowdy and raucous, but they seem to be the exception and not the rule any more.
If you are reading this, then you're obviously still on the site. Drop me a line and let me know what your thoughts are about the (seeming) decline. And where yo...

Woo hoo! I gave two weeks' notice today. I start a job with a new company just after Thanksgiving, and life is GOOD!
The company I work for has recently seen a huge amount of experience and talent walk out its door. And although nothing is going to stop someone from leaving to take the opportunity of a lifetime, the high turnover rate here really should be a wake-up call to upper management that people are so unhappy with the current environment that it takes just a tiny shove for the...

I'm so happy that the electorate stood up and handed Bush and the GOP a big pie in the face. Yay! Unfortunately I have every confidence that the democrats will nominate some lame-ass wuss, who will fail to have a vision or convince anyone that they can LEAD, so they will blow the election again.
On the bright side, South Park had a hilarious parody of evolution the other night --
Mrs. Garrison:
Now I for one think that evolution is a bunch of bull crap. But I've been told I have t...

It's Thursday night, and Saturday morning I head up to Burningman for a weekend of high jinx, low humor, old friends, new friends, insane engineering projects, fuzzy fun fur, and major blowing off of steam.
I've done a BUTTLOAD of work getting ready for this. I have been working out with trainers several times a week for the last three months, and I feel great. I have been working on costumes for myself and several camp mates and they look incredible. And I helped organize the gay/lebi...

When I was 10 my parents tried very hard to get me interested in piano playing, and the swim team. I love swimming, and later in life scuba diving was a huge passion of mine because I love being around, in, and under, the water. Back then I wasn't a strong swimmer, and I hated competitve swimming because I always performed near the bottom of the group at the practices and swim meets. I had no concept of long-range goals, I only knew I was embarassed about not being exceptional at it RIGHT...
