Hi, I had a really strange night last nite...just not sure how to deal with it...I feel like Kimberly was here...

First of all, I lost my wife, Kimberly (Kat), this past November 30th, very unexpectedly...she had been sick on and off for the past 2 years, but had seemed to have turned the corner...in fact, the past 3 months before she died had been the best she had been in the past 2 years...and what she died from was unknown damage to her heart from a medicine that turned toxic in her system last summer...Her actual medical problem we had been fighting seemed to be in remission...we had just celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary 5 days before...

But back to yesterday and last nite...for some reason, I had been playing an Aerosmith CD all day...not something I normally do...it was however one of Kimberly's favorites...I had worked about 10 hours, then hit the gym for a short cardio work-out...got home around 8...showered, fixed some soup and a sandwich...and watched a little TV with my laptop on beside me here on the bed...with our cat's curled up at the foot of the bed...I guess I dozed off around 11pm with everything still on...I woke up sort of startled around 1am very wide awake...That wasn't too strange...it happens once or twice a week...but the cat's were very restless...kept rattling paper bags, going in and out of the room...but I just wasn't sleepy...I turned everything off, I couldn't go to sleep...an hour later, put on some music, a montage of songs that I have set to a slide show with the pics. I used in Kimberly's Memorial...it didn't help...at 3am...turned on the TV and Laptop in the dark to see if it would make my eyes tired...by 4am...I turned everything off again...at 4:30...I heard something in the kitchen...heard one of the chairs slide back...so I went out to check...

I found Kimberly's mother, 86, who lives in the in-law suite upstairs sitting there at the table crying...she looked at me and said, Kimberly was here tonight...She had came to her in a dream and told her to "Take care of Muffy"...Kimberly's oldest cat...her comfort kitty...the cat she got 14 years ago when her father died...she has always had an innate ability to been there to comfort any of us who was in distress...like she know what we were feeling...she was also the cat that was so uneasy all night...on and off of the bed...rustling paper bags...nudging me trying to get me to rub her all night...

We sat and talked til about 5am...but when I came back to bed, a song that had been running in my head all day suddenly started to make sence with a few words changed...it was Aerosmith's "What It Takes"...I started crying...downloaded the lyrics, put the song on, and started re-writing it to the feelings in my head...

Here is it...you can read the words as the song plays...it totally is what I have been feeling over the past few weeks...I am not sure if anyone else has ever had something like this ever happen, of if it will help anyone out there who is going through the grieving process...but I felt I had to share it with you...any comments would be greatly appreciated...

My takes on, and a Toast, "To Sensuality, Sexuality, and Erotic Fulfillment..."
