about me
Located in Denver, Colorado, in an historic World II Air Force munitions facility, which we lovingly call "The Bomb Factory." freq is a new non-profit group that promotes arts and education. Front Range Educational Quorum Inc. (known as freq) is organized exclusively for educational, artistic, and charitable purposes. Specifically, freq promotes educational programs and scholarships for the public in the appreciation and use of non-traditional arts, including visual arts, music, performance, and media, and group collaboration with community and businesses. Through seasonal special events and creative expression, freq promotes training in fine art, performance, industrial arts, media, and supports innovative uses / reuses of materials and concepts. freq is an accessible venue for artists and the public.

Gods and Monsters was my last party. I'm going on to start building big art and expanding my skill sets by a thousand or so. Working for freq inc has been great but it leaves no time for what matters the most to me - my art. Love to you all, hopefully Matt won't forget about this particular site. If anyone wants to take it over for us and keep everyone updated, I'll give you the information to do so. Hope you all had fun last night! Much love, see you around. Moon

We're trying our darnedest to get all the permanent infrastructure work done here at the BomB Factory so that we can get down and dirty with decorating for the Gods and Monsters themed party next weekend, Sept 20th. If you're new on the list go here for more info on the event: gog.eventwax.com/gods-and-monsters We understand many of you are still recovering from the burn or are preparing for Earthdance this weekend. We're just asking for a little help sometime between now and the Sep 20, whenever you can or some company to keep us cheerful as we work our booties off. We have much which needs to be done: Moving the kitchen Finishing the walls around the new kitchen space Building the walk-in cooler Moving the short bus Painting walls Moving furniture around Putting the stainless steel up behind the bar back. Building up a wall around Sloan's area with staging. Putting the finished bar back cap piece back on top of the pillars once I'm finished plating it. All this needs to be done before we can call for the final occupancy inspector, who has to come before the party. Once the inspection is done, THEN we get to decorate, which takes several days. Times to come help: We are working as close to non-stop as our bodies can take, every day and well into the night. Just come by Whenever you have the time and energy or send this on to someone you think would enjoy it! Karmalicious is coming by sometime soon to work on the barrels for recycling, they need to be painted to indicate what you're supposed to put in each one. Email her if you're interested in helping her green our event space. So, now ya know what there is to do, how we work: we show you the list of projects to tackle, you choose which one sounds like fun to you and work on it till you're done (or done for the night.) Oh and could you please, would you please - forward this onto the people you feel would like to participate in this way but aren't on the list? Praying I will be blessed with your presences over the next week, Moon
We're coming up on the first official event.

We need volunteers to make it amazing. People who like to decorate warehouses. People who want to do crazy art pieces people can play with. People who want to dress in crazy costumes and play greeter - You make sure people are over the age limit and aren't creepy a-holes at the door, before they give over their tickets. We need help with: Painting the wall for visuals behind the stage. (We have a sprayer, it's fun.) Putting together the bar and entry/exits Move a lot of weird furniture around Dome builders Decorators Sweeping Finding homes in our storage area for odd misc stuff. Moving the short bus. Or if you have an idea for an art installation -do it! (think big - you can have it be on the ground, interactive is best for these or hanging, we have a ton of overhead space to play with.) The work schedule (just show up at TBF during these times and tell us what you'd like to do!) This week: Tues. - Thursday - 6p - 11p Sat and Sunday 1p - everyone has had enough Next week: Mon - Fri (Everyday!) 6p -11p Sat Sep 20 (Day of!) 12 noon - 7p Shoot me an email if you want to volunteer sometime and I'll give you the info on how to get there, as well as my number to contact me anytime. :) moon@thebombfactory.org ** I have nothing to do with performers or the music lineup - please do not appeal to me for slots with these things. I will simply point you to the appropriate person for that.
On here we will post:

~Upcoming events as they are put on our calendars. ~Volunteer Information - if you want to help put these on, we need everything from floor cleaners to stage hands. ~Art Installation Needs - We always love having guest artists bring in their latest wacky ideas to share with Colorado Phreaks during events. ~Workshops and Classes - Who's offering them, what they are about and how much they will cost. (If you'd like to run one, email to set up a meeting.) ~General Needs - if you'd like to volunteer for TBF and don't care if there's an event coming up or not, we would love to have you. We can always use the help! The link to get to our website is thefreq.org - this is where you will find the links for ticket sales and more indepth descriptions of events, workshops and needs, it's a good one to bookmark if you care about such things.
