so it begins...

here i will be sharing my recipe ideas and aproach to cooking that dosnt always rely on said recipes. im my own worst enemy as a cook, thats what they say! i guess i just cant be bothered with writing anything down. hey, but maybe thats my strength? everytime i cook its a new dish.. isnt that what we all do anyway? even when you follow a recipe you end up changing or doing something different. also ingredients are never the same... organic, local, imported, how long you've had something sitting in your fridge...it all effects the final outcome. so this is my starting point. lets see where it goes.

one thing i will say is that im particularly interested in the medieval period and north european traditions so lets see how that feeds in to my approach!
