My Testimonials

August 7, 2009
This woman boggles my mind. I thought I knew what the words "strength" & "inspiration" meant. (although I can imagine her rolling her eyes as she reads this!)

They were only mere words to me before I had the pleasure of meeting Crypto here on Tribe (I've yet to have the honor to meet her in person, but it's high on my list of goals).

I once made the mistake of taking her for granted, and my stupidity made me not see how very special she is. I'm glad we've gotten past that (although I still regret & cringe when I think about it sometimes!)

Don't make that same mistake. Because a person like Crypto is a very, very rare treasure. Only a fool would pass her up as a friend.

Well, I've made it another day without getting stricken from her friend-list, so, clearly this is a person of great temperance, and a gentle nature. Frankly, how many of us truly deserve this kind of benevolent grace? So, when she's taking a little piece of you, just be glad she's not taking what you actually owe her.

Re: I'm Admiring the Restraint You Guys are Showing (in Burning Man) Well, you know mental illness is scary, and a violent responce is the best choice of reacting to fear.

Re: Veganism is like..... (in Burning Man) I'm not sure about seals. Seems to me I've read of a number of "Take" permits on Marine Mammals. Well both the eastern and western populations of Steller's Sea Lion are listed--but those aren't seals.

Re: Veganism is like..... (in Burning Man) So you're saying that absolutely no seal, lizard and snake species are endangered? I'll have to look that up some time.

Airing a Fevered Brain

Yeah, I am an Armchair Sexologist. I do have some practical knowledge of the subject, but I do have periods of "dormancy" when I protect myself from overwhelming possible loss, or something, by sitting it out for a few rounds.
But I am human, sex interests me and I am someone who is used to getting information from books, so I read a fair amount on the subject. That's one reason I end up reading Evolutionary Psychology--even as I doubt most of the conclusions drawn.
I think that the way w... read more

So, yesterday I saw the latest Plastic Surgeon.
He's going to contact my prosthetist and get back to me.
But, I got rid of the blue string, plus I got an explination of it's origin. It is a normal suture to use but it's "permament" by which they mean it's removed rather than dissolved. They must have missed it when they were going back in.

I mislead you guys unintentionally. By the time it came out it was in a "y" shape with a shorter tail than the arms.

Reading Evolution of Desire: www.amazon.com/Evolution-.../ref=sr_1_1
Same old stuff about how women's eggs are expensive and men's sperm is cheap so women seek status in their lovers and men have the Madonna/Whore complex to deal with.
Women need a man who will help feed her--and, more importantly, their--kids. With tasty red meat!

But that's not how it happens. Okay, admittedly this is a 2003 reissue with two extr... read more

Now the string in my leg is kind of like the Loch Ness Monster.
The "Neck" and "Head" being an end of string, and there is also a "Hump" or loop of string.

This is really kinda weird...

Have you ever noticed that when you attend a business function with a powerpoint lecture that half the slides are hurried through or skipped? Cause it's like that pretty much always for me. If the information isn't important, why put it on slides? If it is important, why skip it?
Or is PowerPoint kind of a crock? Not all it's cracked up to be?
