I think I have a girl crush on Jeannie. She has charmed me from afar. Her wonderful sparkling humor and light have seduced me during the small chunks of time I have spent with her. Her joy for life shows in everything she does. And Have I mentioned she is a total sassy babe?!

Oh, Betty Rubble! I can't say enough about Jeannie. I lovingly refer to her as my Belly Mommy, she is my inspiration and my goal in terms of dancing. No matter what kind of mood I am in she always puts me in a better one. Her mental and physical comedy makes me laugh so hard that I almost piss myself. I love you so much Ms Jeannie....

Oh my goooooooodness, I can't be saying enuffs about Mrs. Frylock, here. She's 1/3rd of the amazing group of belly dancers I've been SO VERY WARMLY welcomed in by, and that means so much to me!! She's TOTALLY adorable, has a quick wit, is one helluva dancer (I wanna shake it like you ladies when I grow up!!) and has the cutest child on the planet. NOT to mention she makes me feel totally comfortable to talk about ANYTHING, and she GETS it, too!!
Mrs. Frylock, will you be the "L" shape to my "T" this halloween???

You all are missing a vital fact: the hips are our pistons. No one argues that a car's power comes from the hood ornament, as we all know it's the pistons driving the engine that make it purr.

I haven't blogged in a while, at least, not a blog that contain my thoughts and doings. I'm not sure why that is, other than the hermity feeling I get at this time of the year and when I'm at home alot. I find that the more I'm at home, the more I want to be at home and I start to get in a place where I hate the thought of leaving the house. I just become a homebody in the truest sense an... read more

I woke up this morning, and it felt like something fundamental in my world had shifted. Something had shifted toward optimism, toward renewal and healing, toward humility and gratitude, toward shared responsibility and the chance to try. My country made me so proud last night. Together, we elected our first President of color, and not just because he was a candidate of color, but because we feel he's the best man for the job. To me, that is the only reason to elect someone, but I ... read more
