about me
There's a city in my mind
Come along and take that ride
and it's all right, baby, it's all right
And it's very far away
But it's growing day by day
And it's all right, baby, it's all right
Would you like to come along
and you could help me sing this song?
And it's all right, baby, it's all right
They can tell you what to do
But they'll make a fool of you
And it's all right, baby, it's all right

"Random guy on NW 23 with Mistletoe"
I ran into a guy on NW 23rd on Saturday who was selling a bunch of it from a tree in his yard. No idea who he was, but you might try craiglisting him or something. It was in good shape and fresh that day....

WASHINGTON - When it comes to fishing tasty termites out of their mounds, wild chimpanzees don't have the right stuff. Most, in fact, are southpaws. A three-year study of 17 wild chimps in Gombe National Park, Tanzania, found that 12 of them used their left hands when using sticks to probe for termites.

Imagine my surprise opening a package from my Mom out in MA a couple of days ago and encountering Kim's photo in a magazine she had included. My mom seems obsessed with sending me all publications she encounters that provide information on Portland, and this time she included a copy of Frommer's monthly travel mag. I flipped it open only to encounter a familiar looking face on the contents page, why it's Kim with her roomie and another friend (whose name escapes me) standing at the Doug Fir...

You fall asleep Saturday night, wake up at 8 a.m and decide to doze off for a while longer (hell, it's Sunday, right?) and don't reawaken until 2:56 p.m. Ooops, there goes my Sunday.
