about me
I'm an artist, a motivator and an advocate of preserving our natural environment, passionate about design (print + interactive), photography and all variations of art. I am a health enthusiast and strive to bring knowledge and awareness to others regarding nutrition, organic vs. genetically modified foods. I’m also an avid snowboarder and certified level 2 instructor.
I enjoy listening, observing my surroundings and desire the need to understand and learn from every step taken on my path, to discover what is... I believe it is important to embrace and challenge your fears, to persevere in any situation as we only live once… people come into our lives for a reason, teaching us lessons we need at every moment. I am strongly influenced by music and LOVE TO DANCE. I feel that the essence of sound connects all, breaking the divide of our differences because we all understand the fundamentals of a rhythm and beat. If I could have it my way I would be traveling at every moment. I’ve visited Peru, France, England, Holland, Mexico, Jamaica, Germany, Australia, Mexico, Canada and all areas of the United States. Favorite adventures thus far: Backpacking the NaPali Coast in Kaua’I + the Inca trail–Machu Picchu. * Laughter is the essence of happiness. * "The most beautiful experience we can have is the mysterious. It is the fundamental emotion which stands at the cradle of true art and true science." -- Einstein *

By 7000 BCE, in what is called the Fertile Crescent, in West Asia where hunter-gatherers had roamed, planting had grown into the major source of food. There true farming had begun, and farming required permanent settlement. By 4500 BCE people archaeologists would call Ubaidians were living in towns in West Asia, in Mesopotamia (Greek for "between two rivers") near where the Tigris and Euphrates rivers emptied into the Persian Gulf. The Ubaidians drained marshes. They ... read more

Science & Technology (science) Pollution from power plants, cars, and other transportation is a well-known contributor to outdoor air pollution, but indoor air pollution is often worse; it can be up to 10 times worse for you than the air outside. Microbial pollutants like mold, pet dander and plant pollen can combine with chemicals like radon and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) to create a pretty toxic environment in your home; since we sp... read more
Our fellow Discovery sites have gathered together all of their posts on green themes for the day; Discovery Health has an entire page of "great ideas to help you live well and reduce your impact on the environment." How Stuff Works has rounded up all of their environmental posts, which provide an effective introduction to environmental issues, trying (perhaps too hard) to show both sides of the story with articles like Are Climate Skeptics Right? Discovery Earthlive has a very cool interactiv...

Well you've seen it ten times before. I thought that you had it down With both your feet on the ground. I love slow...slow but deep. Feigned affections wash over me. Dream on my dear And renounce temporal obligations. Dream on my dear It's a sleep from which you may not awaken. You build me up then you knock me down. You play the fool while I play the clown. We keep time to the beat of an old slave drum. You raise my hopes then you raise the odds ... read more

Senator John McCain (R-AZ) has proposed two major changes to the corporate tax code: cutting the corporate tax rate from 35 percent to 25 percent and allowing corporations to deduct the full cost of investments in technology and equipment in the first year, an accounting process known as expensing. The first proposal aims to enhance U.S. economic competitiveness, create jobs, and increase wages. The second proposal aims in particular to boost capital ... read more
