After dreary post went to get a hair cut. The guy at Supercuts looked like he had just walked off the playa and read poetry to me as he cut my hair. Made me smile. Thanks God, you are a swell girl sometimes.

After posting that dreary blog found two intersting quotes on Happiness:
Happiness is always a by-product. It is probably a matter of temperament, and for anything I know it may be glandular. I need to write. I don't know why. This day really blows, low self esteem, lack of inspiration, wondering about the future
It is one of those days that feels thick. It is so thick I don't even know who to call. I actually don't really want to call anyone. I feel like I call people to "pick me up" quite a bit. I am tired of needing a pick me up. It is just weird, like suddenly I woke up in a life I didn't quite recognize. It doesn't feel all new and created. It feels thick like molasses.

I play hard. I love deeply. I laugh really loud and look for things that make me say "now there is something I didn't think I would hear when I woke up this morning." I paint portraits of the human spirit. I like to inspire people. I love people and they piss me off all at the same time. I love Los Angeles, it is my hometown. I am happiest when I am doing something way bigger than myself that scares the crap out of me and has an uncertain outcome.

In a world of dichotomy, there is no greater balancing act than the Shaman. He is the only Zen-Buddhist, Ass-Kicking, Redneck Loving, Blow-Shit-Up, Spiritual, Creative Supergenius I have ever know. I think this man is BRILLIANT! Every day I know him, I learn something new and celebrate that he is in my life! He is truly "all things good" with a little bit of devil thrown in for fun!
