Preparing for Winter

The boat season was wonderful this year, as always. I am living in Beacon, NY now, and digging that for serious. Christopher and the kitties are doing great, and the fall weather is cruising steadily toward winter. I'm looking forward to being in a place with snow, I think. It will be my first time spending a whole winter out here on the east coast. Me thinks I will need to go boot shopping soon. (YAY!) And it's time to go back to NY

Well, Texas was a hoot, an experience, a challenge, and some other things. It's almost time for my Spring season on the boat. I am gearing up to make the trip and the transition back to New York and the Hudson River. Christopher is already there, having headed out two weeks early to get started with the engine and help the winter crew finish their projects as the spring crew is arriving. Im trapped between the passes

Just about everything I own in a borrowed van on borrowed time, making the moving trek from Seattle back to Texas. We stopped for the night at a luxurious Motel 6 in Medford, after clearing Grants pass and before crossing Siskiou pass. The a blizzard came and all exits were blocked. Now were on day two in the motel and the chinese food in this town sucks ass. Gonna try to make it out and over today. Meh.

Hell has not frozen over.

But Texas has. Jeezus Phuck!! It's soooo cold. There are sheets of ice over everything. not just the horizontal but the verticle as well. like a half inch thing "icing" everywhere. We are all trapped inside, for the last two days, and its cold in here too. I left NY why?

Woops now I live in Texas

Long time no tribe. Went from Hawaii in April to NY for and eight month stint on the boat. Got To Sanger, TX on December 1st. Me and Christopher and the usual suspects are farming five acres and a double wide now. I miss you guys.
