Who I amabout me
I am a reticent observer of life and part-time hermit. I am down-to-earth, pragmatic, and always believe in questioning authority. I have a rather warped, macabre sense of humor and have a love for creepy, crawly things that go bump in the night. I also have a deep love for anything crafted by hand or nature.
I have an extra appendage in the form of a Jack Russell Terrier named Pippin. He is a most amazing dog and travels with me everywhere, even to work. He is a celebrity in our little circle of life.

I have this one customer who is elderly and owns a standard poodle. Great dog, great owner...she always tips me $20 which is a generous tip and I'm always thankful, but I think my customer is slipping a cog. When she picked up her dog yesterday, she handed me a bill...I thought it was the usual $20, but I looked down and noticed it was $100! I handed it back to her and told her it was too much. There is this garden spider who has decided that my car is the best place in the world to weave it's web. Saw it this morning, it had made this beautiful web between my antenna and rear spoiler. I thought the spider would be toast once I started driving to work, but it managed to make it through the ride. Most of the web was gone, but it managed to cling to the top of the antenna. Dad came through the surgery just fine. Everything was routine and there were no complications. The doctor said that his valve was so calcified that it was amazing he was actually up and walking about, and yet my Dad just showed me the new deck he built in his backyard. He's been hauling around 8' timbers with a heart that was barely functioning. That's my Dad!

It's pushing 90 inside my apartment right now. I have all my windows open, a fan running, and the heat is unbearable. And of course, since all my windows are open, this huge buzzing fly comes in and scares the bejeebers out of Pip who wants to hang out on my shoulder for security from the mean old fly. Eh, nope, sorry dog. I think I'm gonna go take a cool shower...I can't stand heat, and this is hot and muggy. My baby carnivorous plants are loving it, but I am not.
