My Testimonials

March 19, 2008
I've known Tig for many years (just how many I'm not saying...), and have known him to be honest, thoughtful, friendly, humble, and extremely knowledgeable about his chosen subjects. He is also a lighting fast observer - a useful talent for both the quick diagnosis of computer problems and and off-the-cuff joking. Hail Tig!

about me
Professionally, I am the founder and majority owner of PureGeek, an AFN ISP. We serve Internet connectivity to the residents of Ashland, OR as well as doing computer repair, troubleshooting and consulting. We also do Wi-Fi network setup and maintenance as well as other small network support. PureGeek is the only local ISP that I know of that offers Network Care as a service. If you are a PureGeek customer for a very small monthly fee, we will manage your wired or wireless small network over the phone, or in person if need be. This includes setup, configuration, and hardware maintenance.

Personally, I grew up in Seattle and am a rabid Seahawks fan. My grandparents and my father grew up in Ashland, and although I grew up in and around Seattle, I always knew I'd end up here. I moved here in 1986 and met my lovely bride here, and was married here, and we had our kid here, and intend to raise him here. Also, I own an ISP in Southern Oregon. Married since 1988 - one kid born 1997.

Blogitty Blog Blog Blog....

I came across an exciting link the other day - www.hulu.com - Slashdot had a link to a story about it. It's movies and TV shows online, legal and streaming and some old and some new. I am extremely excited because my laptop has an S-Video-Out port and my collection of odd wires includes wires to make it possible to hook the laptop up to the TV and watch everything from "Lipstick Jungle" to "Simon and Simon"!

There are lots of shows from my childhood ("Land of the Giants") and som... read more

That's the PureGeek Mission Statement. When I was told that I was going to have to write a mission statement, I quailed. I started looking around to see if Scott Adams was lurking nearby sketching me for an upcoming Dilbert cartoon. The buzzword laden silliness that issues from the Mission Statement Generator game at D... read more

PureGeek is Live at Last!

We are officially taking new sign-ups and offering anyone who signs up in the next month or so a 1/2 price computer cleaning when they sign up. Since we usually charge $75/hr for this service, our new customers are getting a heck of a savings here! As I see it, this is a win-win-win situation. New customers get an internet service provider that cares about our customers and our staff as much as we care about our profits. We get to start our relationship with o... read more
