<div>the love fest in san francisco i missed it, got there too late and i was with a friend who just wanted to hang out in the castro at the bar badlands. why not just stay in west hollywood and go to micky's? no difference there in any substantial way. aaaaaaaah. i beat it by 1am fueled by desire to escape the banality of the sameness and conformity of the gays of castro...to connecticut and caesar chavez was it the gingerbread? for love shove? after hours and stayed all night. hi san francisco friends you made me tired, you rocked so hard and deep adnan and gravity point from bm til the next day, blurry for folsom street fair, which i had never been to, but which was the apotheosis of voyeurism and exhibitionism and grotesquerie and so very fascinating, a kind of freedom very necessary, but not so much open sex, to look and be looked at and then to keep moving, NEXT, next one, it just seemed to go on forever, and there were more and more people so you kept wanting to see more, another tantalizing fetish or appendage just beyond that rubber mask and pair of khakis seven clumps of people ahead of you. who did you miss?</div>

										<div>on the playa by far the biggest and the best to zag zip and zoom zig, pause and pollinate and then twirl tworl and hover then buzz thru was the deep end. i was spinnning top, more a tornado or whirlpirl, cause don't they pick up and absorb the energetic forces they come in contact with?

										<div>Cyborgs and Sultans, my camp this year (we were Cyborgs and Samurais last year) built this oil well. Pretty cool. It was like a big dick on the playa, but i don't know if it got the guys who put it together laid....Pigs of Islam... (I helped some at the end in the death defying push of the thing to stand upright. It seemed to work for me : )) Special Kudos to Evil Ted for heading up our camp . Last year fearless leader Bruce caused unbelievable and hilarious torture with his random monologue megaphone ravings. He was missed this year. Megaphone screaming was proven to be a special talent: not all who attempt are worthy.

Question: Is screaming "Faggot!" repeatedly through a megaphone a mating call for closet cases?</div>

    </a>
										<div>Its been a little more than two weeks since I've been back from the adventure known as Burning Man. Apart from time serving as a storage bin for to do lists, it helps me in getting a perspective after all the hyper-unreality, over-stimulation, snap decision making on a dime, group dynamics, mental and physical exhaustion and playa dust knocks me off my feet and on my ass.
You think if you try to go more cush this time it'll be easier. An RV will temper the drawbacks of roughing it in a tent. Private tents! Communal RV's! and other problems least of which are RV companies themselves who are loathe to deal with Burning Man at all (some don't and put it in the contract) GPS tracking! stressful when one discovers this after having told them a family vacation to Tahoe...

But it was phenomenal nevertheless.

favorite camp to go to early in the week: Hee Bee Gee Bees, where healers/masseurs/bodyworkers gave service. The first day I had Garrett who did "shamanic massage" which included him speaking words to, (or commanding rather) the energy of each body part while working on it in a foreign language unknown to me that was erotic as well. He spoke directly and pretty personally to it and my body would respond. I had a short session, maybe 20 minute because it was the end of the day. He described it like it felt like he was going inside a person without going inside them physically, which made sense after he was done. He also did this think where he would press on my muscles and then suddenly release them, pulling his hands away from the bodypart he had touched so that I could feel the energy of this after he had removed them. It was an after touch sensation that lasted about a second or two. He told me to come back the next day and that he liked working on me because i responded to his touch and by the way he was looking for acid and mushrooms, he wanted to work on as many people as he could, he said he had a record of 45 in one day when he was flying on acid. A promiscuous healer! It was kind of sexy when he said this. I went back the next day, but it was also later in the day and even though he told me to tell the greeters (the people who did the appointment check-ins) that I could go first, as luck would have it i got a session right away with a more traditional chiropractor/masseur.
He wasnt a letdown after Garrett, only more traditional, and good too (in a different way)

Who stands out in my memories from Hee Bee Gee Bees? Garrett, Quail, Entropy, and Clear

    </a>
										<div>Artists or even people who just randomly want to take pictures in a supposedly public parking garage or a mall are SUSPECT. Don't think you even have the freedom to capture such things as, say, some cool mirrored and tiled walls on film if you do not have express PERMISSION. YOU DON'T. YOU COULD BE A TERRORIST. You WILL recieve hostile and suspicious glances from passersby, as well as attracting unwanted attention from the guys with ill fitting navy blue blazer uniforms and walkie talkies. THEY WILL STOP YOU very politely and nicely. But make no mistake, RIGHT TO PASS IS REVOCABLE.

Esperanto!

    </a>
										<div>If music is the universal language, Esperanto tries real hard to be, well, maybe 4th on the list (after sex and love methinks). I love the idea of Esperanto: a language that will unite the world, that everyone can speak and understand. It derives its structure and roots from the Slavic, Romance (French, Spanish, Italian), and Germanic languages. It was invented by Dr. Ludovic Lazarus Zamenhof in the late 1870s and picked up some steam in the 1960's and 70's. Between 200, 000 and 2 million people speak it, and for about 2000 people in the world it is their primary language. Where do they live? There is no Esperanto country, but a guy off the coast of Italy built a platform and called it the Republic of Rose Island with Esperanto as its official language. The Italian govt didnt like that and smashed em to smithereens.

The thing that makes Esperanto so charming and retro is that its aims were really so provincial: um, what about Asia? India? the Middle East?

Although I've never heard it spoken, I love Esperanto. If you know someone who does speak the Universal language point em in my direction!</div>
