Tomas is an awesome, sweet guy, with a great vinyl music collection!! He showed up on my front doorstep one day, in a basket with a note saying he would spin amazing darkwave/goth/electro sets as long as I didn't send him to the orphanage! And ever since, I've been thankful of that day!!!

Tomas Diablo is a DJ in the original sense. He uses vinyl LP records. He uses two turntables and no microphone. He mixes. He matches. He speeds them up and slows them down. He creates a seemless non-stop musical mix. He is humble. He takes requests. He records his music on CDs. He always gives a handful away as souvenirs of yet another successful night. He gives classes in DJ-ism -- or if he doesn't he should. Thanks for many a good time, Tomas!

Senor Diablo is great. I remmber this one time we went all the way to Scotland just to meet our new wives...but they ended up being sheep. Oh well. At least he plays good music!

My head is still reeling from Friday's Strangelove. We had our biggest turnout yet - just under 200 people - for the Skinny Puppy tribute. 200 people is not enough for the Cat Club to feel crowded, so it was pretty comfortable everywhere. People seem to appreciate that I don't have DJs blaring in the front room, and they can escape the sound level and crowd of the dance room and enjoy talking to each other by the front bar.
