Karen Minnis is not known to be overly fond of homosexuals - we moral churchgoing citizens are under no obligation to accept or promote a deviant, diseased lifestyle - but dear Tony wins me over with his style, his zest for life, his charming social awkwardness, and our shared passion for the color Red. I still haven't given up hope that he will see the Light - the Heterosexual Light of Jesus.

He's my friend and he'll stay my friend
Doesn't matter what the other people say He's my friend until the bitter end Even though the bitter end's a million miles away. Oh And he looks so sizzlin hot in a skirt.

about me
I am the thinking man's Perez Hilton. No, wait, I'm the male Camille Paglia. No, I'm the female Courtney Love.
('Cause Courtney is really a drag queen. Kurt even said so!) What the F am I? OK, let's start with plain facts. My name is Tony Longshanks LeTigre. I currently live in Portland, Oregon although I am leaving at the end of March '09 to stay on Maui for a while and help my cousin write his autobiography, which will hopefully become the next "Naked, by David Sedaris." I plan to work on my own novel and screenplay as well as paint while I'm there. San Francisco is next after Maui. There I intend to start an art collective called The Nightshade Family. There won't be any gender/sexual orientation/age criteria for membership, but I am interested in art that challenges, provokes, maybe even offends. I am a lifelong aficionado of horror movies and trash culture of the kind enshrined in the films of John Waters, and tend to be a contrarian and to go against the grain. I am happiest when working on four creative projects in four different mediums at the same time. Staying creative keeps me from going self-destructive. If I can write a book half as magnificent as Finnegans Wake, or make a movie as beautiful as The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974), or paint an image as arresting and confrontational as some of Robert Mapplethorpe's photographs, then I will die a happy man. I am currently contemplating the best way to approach hot English actor Ben Whishaw with an offer of gay marriage. I tend to be pretty "socially aggressive" on here, so I may add you without the formality of asking first, it just means I looked at your profile or you posted something that I found interesting, the worst you can do is not add me back. Oh well! I have a strong sense of being on an artistic mission of some sort and life no longer seems as infinite as it once did, so I need to get busy. I have published my own magazine, curated art shows, freelanced for several local papers and magazines, made short films, recorded experimental music and met famous and interesting people. I see myself going further in the direction of film and video work and possibly performance art as well. I want to meet people to make art and movies and music with. I don't bite, unless you really deserve to be bitten. I don't use Tribe much these days. Look me up instead on my homepage blog, www.tonyletigre.com, or MySpace (www.myspace.com/anthonylockwood) or on Flickr (www.flickr.com/photos/glamrocktiger/) aloha, mahalo tony aka glamrocktiger

I just made my second post, in response to last night's screening of Bruce LaBruce's "Otto; or Up with Dead People." Delightful film, really. And sexy, too. intellectualhomosexual.today.com Read it. Comment on it. Buzz it up. Tell your friends. Help me get this thing off the ground! Thank you kindly, TLT
First of all, sorry to anyone who actually went to the party last Sunday, because I didn't make it myself. I've been "unwell" to say the least for a while now. Remember what happened to Demi Moore's character at the end of St. Elmo's Fire? Well, let's just say I recently had my "Jules-in-her-apartment-with-the-doors-bolted" moment. But things are looking up and I feel on the verge of a great transformation and a mass shedding of crazy baggage and past pain that has been holding me back for fa...

"TreeTop Gallery and Up in the Air Studio celebrates the opening of the exhibit 'High Adventures of Molly Jochem,' featuring paintings, photos and prints from the queer artist, with a 'Roaring '20s Costume Party.' Next Tuesday March 18th is my birthday! ("How old?" You bitches!) I don't feel inclined to make anything big out of it, but would like to get together for cocktails and possibly some excellent food. Masu downtown (the sushi place, but with a full bar) comes to mind. I would be ever so delighted if you would join me next Tuesday from 8 to 10 pm (or so) for a birthday gathering at Masu, located at 406 SW 13th Ave. (on Stark Street near the Crys... read more
