welp, It's my 37th birthday today

yup..

someone at work today asked if I was 21 again. I replied "Gods I hope not!"

i just want to take a moment and say how thankful I am for my friends and family, my dancer sisters/brothers and tribe-y buddies.

I'm grateful to know some of the strongest, most amazing people around-and all of you continually inspire and delight me.

Much love.....

I'm sorry you're an idiot...

Here's today's work story....

I had to make a call to ask a gentleman about medication he was taking that is generally prescribed for acid reflux.

(side note: we have questionnaires with all pertinent questions for numerous conditions, acid reflux being one of them)

So i converse with this man, pleasant as he is, and ask POINT BLANK "Have you ever been diagnosed with or treated for Acid Reflux?" Applicant (from here on to be referred to as Anti Listening Guy or ALG) responds "No I haven't".

I then ask about the specific medication that was listed he takes. ALG replies "Oh I've been off of the medication for AGES!", I ask "When did you stop the medication?", ALG replies "3 weeks ago."

I take a deep breath as I have now discovered this man is a complete moron and ask "SO what condition did the doctor prescribe the medication for?"

AGL says "Acid Reflux".

At this point, I sit there for (probably) a minute, letting it hopefully soak into his thick skull that I originally asked him about said diagnosis to be told "no".

He then says "Are you still there?" and I answer "yes, I was just thinking over our conversation so far and I could SWEAR I asked you about Acid Reflux before..."

He said, sorry I didn't understand the question.....(that thump is my head pounding against my desk)

I quickly exited the phone call and told my manager that apparently I need an adapter-when i speak English INTO the phone, the listener hears something else......

DAMN THE MAN!!!!!

My A/C went out last night and for those of you not in Texas, today is expected to be 98 degress (no, not the band) in Dallas!
My mom (who lives with me because she's disabled) is a heart patient-so after much bitching and pleading, they're having a tech make a special emergency trip to fix my A/C. Apparently, people are having so many issues with the stupid heat that techs are backed up until next Tuesday!!!
You know, owning a house is awesome-except when you have to pay for repairs....

Oh, on a YAY note-I haz a date tomorrow night (Friday the 13th-fitting, no?)...we'll see how it goes but so far he and I have hit it off smashingly....
