Any beekeepers in Portland?
( miscellaneous » other ) Hello there!
Are there any beekeepers out there who need some help with their hives?
I just took the "Basics of Bakyard Beekeeping" class up at Pistil's and am wanting to get back into beekeeping.... I kept a couple hives with pretty good success as a child in Cali, but that was over 25 years ago.
I probably won't have a good spot for a hive until next Spring, so I'm hoping to get all my gear in order over the Winter (plus it's a little late in the year, I understand).
I'm just looking to get back into it... I can lift supers or uncap frames, whatever... maybe in exchange for a little knowledge or support.
I'm also looking for gear, so if you have any (a suit, perhaps?), let me know.
PM me if you are interested... I live in N. Portland and don't drive, so hopefully you'd be within bike/bus distance.
Thanks!
