It has been a long, lonely and insightful winter. But now my windows are open, I can hear birds making a comeback and my heart is opening, uncurling and unfurling like a tender fiddlehead, ready to greet a new season.
I am cherry blossom.
I am buttercup.
I am sticky cottonwood bud.
I am Awake.

not really springtime yet as it's still freezing cold over here but I just had a shower and that seems to have taken the chill out of my bones a bit... hahaha

We have another storm coming in tomorrow too, but at least the ice has finally melted and I saw my first crocus this week.

yeah it's tedious being mysteriously sickly... hahaha
some days I think I'm healthy but then I get disappointed coz I'm not... other days I think I'm dead but then I get disappointed because I'm not... hahaha but spring is getting later every year here... the winter has been cold but somehow the ice and snow is almost funny... now there isn't any ice or frost but it feels colder in my bones... and it's been quite sunny too... but it's definitely not spring... hahaha I think spring eventually kicks in around july... and then the bugs invade in massive swarms... hahaha |
