I JUST QUIT MY JOB!!!!

Waaaaaa Im so excited. :D I registered to go back to school next semester, Im going 2 days a week in the daytime which leaves me with M W F mornings to go on field trips with my kids, volunteer in their classrooms, and work on really pushing my makeup career forward. I cant wait. I gave 1 month notice, so I have 4 weeks to finalize everything here, bring in my replacement and get everyone trained.

Im doing a little happy dance right now. My heart was pounding when I went in there to tell my boss. I cant wait to go back to school. All my classes are interesting ones too (except business which im guessing will be boring but oh well.) YAY!!! :D

My legs hurt. Why did I decide to wear heels today? Ow.

It felt good to get back in the studio and dance though. Obviously I need it... at one point I couldnt tell if I was shimmying, or if it was just my leg muscles shaking cause they hurt!!

Never again will I not go dance for a couple of months at a time haha! Im out of shape now!

Does anyone want a dog?

Ok, heres the whole story.
My neighbor has issues. Major ones. She has a dog (her son treats it like shit)
The dog is a big dog (no idea what kind... shes bigger than my dog though). If a big dog WANTS to hurt someone when it bites it will. Easily. The dog has bit 2 people. Never broken the skin, left a SMALL bruise one time on my neighbor (a small woman). Neither times was the person injured or angry or even wanted to press charges, so i think that says something right? I have dog-sat this dog (I have 2 small children) and the dog behaved VERY WELL the entire time and I trust him completely around my children. Hes a good protective dog, barks in his own home when someone comes to the door you dont know, and i have no doubt he would protect his home if need be, I FIRMLY believe that he wouldnt attack anyone otherwise. He has never bit the little boy that he lived with and he was beat by the boy. I would adopt the dog if I could keep him. I trust him that much.

Yesterday, the dog ran out and bit the gardener across the street (the little boy opens the doors so that the dogs can get out). He wasnt hurt, wasnt mad, didnt want to press charges. My neighbor called animal control and surrendered the dog then called her husband and blamed him. For her, this isnt about the dog, this is about her trying to hurt her ex-husband. No dog deserves to die for that (and you know he will because if you surrender a dog to animal control and tell them that it bit someone, they arent going to try hard (if at all) to adopt it out. She has 10 days in which she can change her mind and go pick him up.

If you or anyone you know wants a dog, please let me know. I dont want to see him put to sleep and it kills me that she turned him over. The dog is big like I said, so he needs space. I would think that maybe someone that has some land or something where the dog could run around would be great. Maybe a home without children, as I dont expect anyone to recommend a dog to a household with children based on the dogs 'history'. though like i said, I would trust him completely with my children. Nothing I have EVER seen in the dog would make me be afraid of him. After living in our house for a few days, the dog was playful, stopped tearing at its bed (i think it was a nervous habit, or something he did when he was unhappy. Because he did it at his home all the time and not at all when he was at mine.) He LOVES playing and running with my dog so he definitely does well with other animals (there was also a cat living in his home so i assume that they did fine together, though i never actually saw them near each other... but they werent ever inentionally separated.)

She surrendered the dog yesterday, so I have 9 days now including today to get the dog back and into a home where he can be happy. Hes an adult dog, not sure how old, but I would say more that 7 years. Not terribly attractive IMO, but he doesnt deserve to be put to sleep for that either right? :(

Please, if you are interested, feel free to ask me any questions, and I can PROBABLY get a picture of the dog. Im sure I didnt say everything in this blog.

REVISE: Its an australian cattle dog i guess. Looks pretty much like this: www.americanstockdog.org/ASDRF...02.jpg my mom is guessing 6-7 years old also. But thats still just a guess.

? for all you computer people

Can I take a dvd drive out of one computer that died (the dvd drive was just fine when it died) and stick it in another computer thats the same model? The other computer only has 1 cd drive right now. I already managed to take it out of the old computer, I just wanted to ask before I go trying to stick it in the new computer in case I shouldnt put it in for some reason...

Actually. The computer its coming out of is an HP, the one I want to put it in is a Dell.
