about me
involved with activist groups, such as ,Anti-Poverty Committee, and sexual racism in the queer community. A friend and I have started a group against sexual racism in vancouver canada ,
to address sexual racism in our communities - how to confront it,
educate people about it and work towards eliminating all forms of racism. This group stared up as a result of many years of confronting it in our different communities.
A recent article in XTRA West promoting the new book by Daniel Gawthrop
(Diaries of a Rice Queen) and the celebration surrounding the profound
racism inherent in the Rice Queen label and practices have moved us to organize. our goal is to build an organization that will
work towards developing analysis of this issue, and strategies for
confronting it. we are looking for feed back from others about this issue also we are looking for article that people have done and would not mind having it on our web site. that will be up soon.
