So there you go, I can't be bothered posting anything else today...

I posted the following in response to a thread on tribe and thought that I would paste it here as well...just to remind me what I plan to do this year...I have added a couple of extras as well...

My goals for 2007

In dance
-Daily drills and yoga stretches
-Strengthening in the lower abs
-And count me in for Turkish drops! I am not sure if my body will let me but I have been wanting do it so will work on it and see how I go...
-Perfect my stomach flutters & rolls
-Intensive work on my BSBD lvl 2 training
-Improving my teaching & being more assertive on technique correction with experienced dancers in my classes
-Reduce my teaching commitments (already done! 3 nights when working 8-6pm 5 days a week is TOOOO much)
-Work on drawing together a dedicated group of dancers who are committed to performing semi-professional level ATS in Canberra
-Extend my creative input & output through taking classes in other dance styles and attending regular dance/theatre shows
-Come up with some new and even more daring choreographies with my dance partner in GypsyNoir...


And for other goals that directly impact or are impacted by my dance goals-
-Spend more quality time with my man and accept his love for me...I deserve it!
-Spend more time with my friends and family
-Celebrate the seasonal changes and honour the spirits through regular ceremony and ritual
-Reconnect with Awen /|\ the energy that exists everwhere and I channel through my dance
-Spend more time in the beautifully wild natural world - walking, kayaking & diving...
-Be a little more creative and efficient in managing my time and daytime career and try to take at least a half hour lunch break EVERYDAY!

And finally...Sleep more! ;o)

We had a helluva weekend dancing, learning, laughing and sweating at the Rachel Brice Workshop in Blue Mtns.

It served to remind me of how talented she is and what a lovely lass she is. Rita & I had a great weekend and picked up some fabulous choreo elements & an eclectic piece of music that I just adore - "FEE, FI, FO, FUM - I smell the bwood of an Engwish Man!!!" My Daddy used to sing that to me when I was a little girl...not quite as manically but still was kinda nostalgic for me anyhow.
Anyways - it'll fit well into our current repetoire with that kind of pseudo vaudeville cabaret feel....watch this space!

Some great performances at the Sunday evening show included Ghawazi Caravan, Devi's lovely flamenco inspired solo, Kiwi Iwi (AMAZING strong spirit from The Land of the Long White Cloud) & the Urban Turban ladies....GypsyNoir messed up the floor with some Dark Nouveau Gypsy grooviness and then (and I am not in anyway ashamed to say it) was totally outshone by the lady herself!

She was absolutely ravishing and supremely devine of course....We even got her back for a screamer of an encore & ArBee party tricks with glasses of Whisky!!! Yes well....more on that another time....

Hmmm....I think Rita has fallen in love - but that's just too bad cos I found her first!!! {:op

Well....better go and attempt some ab isolations now.....
