I am intensely intellectual - but very keen on stepping out of the life of the mind into the realm of art, performance and physical body. connecting with people helps me be different and sail along without justifying every step or move

My Blog

A friend found it for me in a horoscope in January. This maxim is supposed to be important for me throughout the year - half of which has gone by. Camus says somewhere: "A person's life purpose is nothing more than to rediscover, through the detours of art, love or passionate work, those one or two images in the presence of which his heart first opened".

This may justify all the digging into one's past - if done without nostalgia.

I suppose I have placed my bets on the second possibility. I'll have to make more.

is about a 17th century reclusive musician who spent most of his life in a shack near his house in the environs of Paris. He played there viola da gamba which apparently evoked images of his dead wife. The film is called "All the mornings in the world" and found it filed under its French title "Tous les matins du monde". The main character, named Monsieur de Sainte Colombe, most introverted personnage I have ever seen portrayed, talks about his passionate life being disturbed by requests to a... read more

I was at Fremont Solstice parade and the ensuing party on the grass and learned how to twirl a hula hoop. With a helpful hint from a friend or two it took me about one minute to learn. In no time I was able to entertain hoops of various sizes with nothing but subtle movements of lower portions of my body.

I think it bodes well for further progress of my life both as a sexy man and a philosopher.

.. or may be just caught a trace of it. and I'll pursue it. Somehow it got away from me throughout the recent poetry writing and demands at constructing rather than deconstructing. Demands to justify. But under the rules of the surreal you just allow the logic of the imaginationa nd intuition to come up and let it out.

Same with raw emotions. So I went to see a butoh show tonight - you dont try to explain what it is - you just take it in - profound and powerful stuff.

My Testimonials

February 27, 2007
Intensely intellectual, a rare depth of passion, seemingly torrential in its profundity. At times, infuriatingly obtuse, which he often makes up for, with his toothey, libidinous grin. Seemingly simple, he'll surprise you with his range of skills, proclivities, talents and interests. A thoughtful poet, who's got my attention, listen for him, he's worth it. Eileen
