<div>The House passed a bill that will give telecom companies immunity for spying on US citizens...
Follow the money...both of the big parties received huge contributions fairly equally across the board...mostly to incumbents...

ACLU has a petition to send to the senate to stop this bill from passing.

The St. Prozac Bazaar at http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=71347 is having a last call sale! We'll be closing up shop at the end of May and giving the shop back to Killer Kathleen. She's going to have a heck of a time cleaning up after all those pirettes and their arty shenanigans, but don't worry, you'll still be able to find many of the St. Prozac artists on their very own etsy sites. We'll have the links posted everywhere we can think of!

In the meantime, take advantage of sale prices up to 50% off some items!! WOW!! Such a deal and you don't even need a sword to pillage this store!!! Go, on! What are you waiting for??!! SHOP!!!

<div>I am procrastinating about making calls to the people who did not pick up their items at the silent auction last night.
There was a benefit for 2 local ladies (1 has an inoperable brain tumor &amp; the other lost her daughter &amp; is having a hard time making ends meet)
It was a fantastic affair! Western theme, BBQ, sepia photos with a cut-out western couple, a jail you could get your friends arrested &amp; sent to, music, games, margaritas, silent auction (of which I was responsible for...over 75 items donated)
Now the loose ends must be tidied...Groannn!

AT&amp;T is evil....(or My complaint to the FCC)

<div>On 9-21 &amp; 10-11 the phone line was switched without permission from Vartec (at 10¢ a minute) to Sprint (between $3 &amp; $5 a minute) I contacted each of the involved companies(V - once, Sprint - 3 or 4 times, AT&amp;T - repeatedly) Vartec said slamming had occurred before &amp; issued a password against future incursions. Sprint offered 40% adjustment, when pressed that the bill should read 10¢ a minute, they offered a 50% adjustment, when pressed further about the illegal switching of services, they placed blame on the "local provider". AT&amp;T placed the calls under investigation after finally getting through to an operator, I had been put on hold for over 20 minutes then abruptly cut off, then put on hold &amp; switched to a Spanish speaking menu of options.

I filed a written complaint with CPUC &amp; was informed it was under investigation. In a follow up call to CPUC I was informed that due to the calls being international, I would have to file with the FCC. I contacted Myrtle at the FCC &amp; sent her duplicates of my complaint to the CPUC. She told me my case would be investigated, but was being switched to a Ms Debra Ford. I have played phone tag with Ms Ford due to the nature of my work (I work on call &amp; have very irregular hours)

Meanwhile in January an AT&amp;T operator said there was a substantial credit for my account on hold. Each month when I get my bill the slammed charges are still on it, so I call AT&amp;T trying to get it cleared up. This calling process usually consumes up to an hour of my time due to being put on hold often with a tortuous, nerve wracking repetition of 'your call is important...', only to be told that yes there is still a credit associated with my account, but the operator has absolutely no idea why it is not in my account. The most recent attempt to clear my bill resulted in being transferred to Jennifer in the southern office of the FCC. Jennifer said I do not even have a case number, but that if there is a credit on my account, it should all work out...

Now At&amp;T called on Saturday, April 12 to inform me that I would be receiving a notice to disconnect. The efficient operator could not give me any more information about my account, told me that any issues with slamming would have to be resolved through billing. Monday the 14th, an automated survey program from AT&amp;T called to ask about the quality of service provided by the operator that told me my phone is going to be disconnected. The survey included asking me if I would like to speak with a live operator about this call. Of course I said yes, but they have yet to call me. I have received the notice to disconnect &amp; only have a few days to resolve this issue before my phone line will be disconnected.
I do not know how much my bill has been adjusted, it seems the number changes from month to month, I am writing in $45. as an approximate. Please help me solve this Damocles sword of a problem.

Addendum 3:21 pm Thursday - FCC just emailed me to say I have to file a complaint with the California Public Utilities Commission....I ONLY filed with FCC because CPUC said it is Their jurisdiction involving an international call...

<div>Today's agenda was to include painting on the mother &amp; child, then going to help with the rummage sale...
Well, no painting yet today, but did get some spring cleaning done in one corner of the studio. Took stuff to the rummage sale. (The Civic Club puts on an annual rummage sale that fills the community center )
This morning while petting my old cat I noticed a rather disgusting wetness on his back end. Investigation showed a prolapsed anus...Eeeeew! Fortunately the vet fit us in at 2:30. As I was driving the 45 minutes to the big city, I started to be afraid... After all Pal is almost 20 years old. He has been with me since his dam picked me out to get 2 of her kittens... Even though he is a cranky old man who forgets where the litter box is, I love him dearly the little booger. The vet mentioned that she could feel blockage, either constipation or possible a tumor... After a couple of uncomfortable minutes, (for Pal) she popped out a poop bigger than a 50 cent piece &amp; said he needs to take kitty metamucil...
I am sooooo relieved that Pal is not dying today.

Please tell ten friends to tell ten today! The Breast Cancer site is having trouble getting enough people to click on their site daily to meet their quota of donating at least one free mamogram a day to an underprivileged woman. It takes less than a minute to go to their site and click on 'donating a mammogram' for free (pink window in the middle).

This doesn't cost you a thing. Their corporate sponsors /advertisers use the number of daily visits to donate mammogram in exchange for advertising.

Here's the web site! Pass it along to people you know.

AGAIN , PLEASE TELL 10 FRIENDS TO TELL 10 TODAY

There are other sites as well that will donate money - all it takes is a little time.</div>

<div>Tribe apparently will work better IF everyone deletes their old messages &amp; sent messages...

I discovered a slightly quicker way to eliminate old messages....
Open #10 page link at the bottom of the page in a new tab...
Open another new tab with the #10 on that page...
switch between pages as they are deleted...

Happy deleting! And pass the message...</div>

Job Description for Mom...

<div>Just in from my sister (a new Mom)

POSITION :
Mother, Mom, Mama, Mommy, Momma, Ma

JOB DESCRIPTION :
Long term, team players needed, for challenging permanent work in an, often chaotic environment. Candidates must possess excellent communication and organizational skills and be willing to work variable hours, which will include evenings and weekends and frequent 24 hour shifts on call. Some overnight travel required, including trips to primitive camping sites on rainy weekends and endless sports tournaments in far away cities. Travel expenses not reimbursed. Extensive courier duties also required.

RESPONSIBILITIES :
The rest of your life. Must be willing to be hated, at least temporarily, until someone needs $5. Must be willing to bite tongue repeatedly. Also, must possess the physical stamina of a pack mule and be able to go from zero to 60 mph in three seconds flat in case, this time, the screams from the backyard are not someone just crying wolf. Must be willing to face stimulating technical challenges, such as small gadget repair, mysteriously sluggish toilets and stuck zippers! Must screen phone calls, maintain calendars and coordinate production of multiple homework projects. Must have ability to plan and organize social gatherings for clients of all ages and mental outlooks. Must be willing to be indispensable one minute, and embarrassed the next. Must handle assembly and product safety testing of a half million cheap, plastic t oys, and battery operated devices. Must always hope for the best but be prepared for the worst. Must assume final, complete accountability for the quality of the end product. Responsibilities also include floor maintenance and janitorial work throughout the facility.

POSSIBILITY FOR ADVANCEMENT &amp; PROMOTION :
Virtually none. Your job is to remain in the same position for years, without complaining!, constantly retraining and updating your skills, so that those in your charge can ultimately surpass you

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE :
None required unfortunately. On-the-job training offered on a continually exhausting basis.

WAGES AND COMPENSATION :
Get this! You pay them! Offering frequent raises and bonuses. A balloon payment is due when they turn 18 because of the assumption that college will help them become financially independent. When you die, you give them whatever is left. The oddest thing about this reverse-salary scheme is that you actually enjoy it and wish you could only do more.

BENEFITS :
While no health or dental insurance, no pension, no tuition reimbursement, no paid holidays and no stock options are offered; this job supplies limitless opportunities for personal growth and free hugs for life if you play your cards right. </div>

    </a>
<div>I had a blow up my 2nd day back..."I Am Not a door mat!! All I ask for is that you Be Polite &amp; Be On Task!!!! I do not deserve to be treated this way, interrupting or ignoring instruction, being disrespectful &amp; argumentative...!!!" Then in a nice voice, "Please turn to page..."
Lot of good it did me...One student asked how I could change moods that quickly &amp; before I could say "I'm not angry about what kind of work we are doing, only your behavior..." Another student popped of with "Bi-polar"

Just another day holding the fence up.....</div>
