This man needs a spanking. Not that he doesn't like them, mind you, but trouble should always be rewarded with a spanking...

Trouble always seems to show up at just the right time to quietly bring out the trickster you thought had been burned at the stake. Then he quietly slips away leaving your wondering if you imagined him just to give yourself an excuse for your bad behaviour.

Re: Assistance (in WORSE Advice on any subject) Admit it, Walter.

You only feel alive when his hand is up your ass!

When he pulls it out, you just lay around, doing nothing at all. When that man puts his hand up your ass, you come alive!

So, yeah. Ask him to stop doing that. Beg him. ... read more

Re: Where have all the superheroes gone? (in How to preen your Super Powers) Nah. I've not much experience with game development. My background is in testing network security products. Mostly, VPN and firewalls.

I'm really strong with network protocols. I've tested VPN products for 3 different companies. I've strong ex... read more

Re: Anger (in ! Fun With Fundies !) This reminds me of something I read recently about a study regarding stress levels and luckiness.

Re: Where have all the superheroes gone? (in How to preen your Super Powers) Well, short term in retail is ideal, no? The shorter the job lasts the better?

I really hope to have a real job in the next month or so, but I need a shit job now! And I like books, so it'd be fun to work a shit job that involves literacy.

Troubled LiveJournal

I'm playing around with http://www.crazyblinddate.com/

It's from the same people who do OKCupid.

So, I have a crazy blind date scheduled for 19:00 tonight. Her name is Anne-Marie, and I know practically nothing about her, except her age and how tall she is, and a short description of her hair...

Hoping for some good silly fun!

Oh, yeah. I have a new job.

So, My life has changed. Drastically. Whee!

I suddenly find myself living in Oakland.

So, I started looking at matches on OKCupid near my new location. It's a little surprising how many matches are above 90% near me.

*blink*

So, this is a surprise.

I start looking at their profiles. These people are FUNNY! Like, I could really see these folks as friends! I could see myself really having fun, and laughing around these folks.

Maybe this move was a good idea? We'll see. Work starts tomorrow. Hopefully, I love this job.Because I've changed my world for it.

I think I may need to reassess my strength, but I tried to answer as close as I could to how I really view myself...

I Am A: Chaotic Good Human Wizard/Sorcerer (3rd/2nd Level)

Ability Scores:

Strength-14

Dexterity-15

Constitution-14

Intelligence-16

Wisdom-13

Charisma-16

Alignment:

Chaotic Good A chaotic good character acts as his conscience directs him with little regard for what others expect of him. He makes his own way, but he's kind and benevolent. He believes in goodness and right but has little use for laws and regulations. He hates it when people try to intimidate others and tell them what to do. He follows his own moral compass, which, although good, may not agree with that of society. Chaotic good is the best alignment you can be because it combines a good heart with a free spirit. However, chaotic good can be a dangerous alignment because it disrupts the order of society and punishes those who do well for themselves.

Race:

Humans are the most adaptable of the common races. Short generations and a penchant for migration and conquest have made them physically diverse as well. Humans are often unorthodox in their dress, sporting unusual hairstyles, fanciful clothes, tattoos, and the like.

Primary Class:

Wizards are arcane spellcasters who depend on intensive study to create their magic. To wizards, magic is not a talent but a difficult, rewarding art. When they are prepared for battle, wizards can use their spells to devastating effect. When caught by surprise, they are vulnerable. The wizard's strength is her spells, everything else is secondary. She learns new spells as she experiments and grows in experience, and she can also learn them from other wizards. In addition, over time a wizard learns to manipulate her spells so they go farther, work better, or are improved in some other way. A wizard can call a familiar- a small, magical, animal companion that serves her. With a high Intelligence, wizards are capable of casting very high levels of spells.

Secondary Class:

Sorcerers are arcane spellcasters who manipulate magic energy with imagination and talent rather than studious discipline. They have no books, no mentors, no theories just raw power that they direct at will. Sorcerers know fewer spells than wizards do and acquire them more slowly, but they can cast individual spells more often and have no need to prepare their incantations ahead of time. Also unlike wizards, sorcerers cannot specialize in a school of magic. Since sorcerers gain their powers without undergoing the years of rigorous study that wizards go through, they have more time to learn fighting skills and are proficient with simple weapons. Charisma is very important for sorcerers; the higher their value in this ability, the higher the spell level they can cast.

"Another thing I like about the Playa, is that you can construct a huge piece of art, and still have it feel small and insignificant, out there in the vastness..."

I'm not sure where I heard this quote, and I am paraphrasing it a bit, but I really like it. I also feel like my huge dome shrinks to miniscule when I've finished building it out on the Playa. Here, I can't really fit my dome in my back yard...

I'm aching. I think I strained a muscle in my back.

I'm feeling a bit guilty. I wanted to get back up into town this evening in time for Battlestar Galactica, which I usually watch with a good friend of mine. It looks like she's having a bad weekend, and I wanted to be supportive, and just be a good friend. But, things didn't work out.

I'm feeling mildly like a let down. I went down to visit the Autowitch, this weekend. As usual, if I'm going down to visit my friend, I try to call my ot... read more

My name seems to make many of the spiritual hippie types in our local burn community uncomfortable.

I will meet new people at, say, a decompression, and I'll tell them "Hi. My name's Trouble", and they'll do a double take, and say "You should change your name! That name will draw trouble to you." or something similar.

It's a little odd.

My exploration into Mysticism has always been most comfortable from the "Chaos Magick" side of things, or from following the paths of the trickster ... read more

Home, and back.
So, I went back home, as I do every year, around the labor day weekend.

Home is, of course, the Black Rock Desert, in Black Rock City, Nevada. Home only exists about one week each year.

I'm back in Boulder, now. I'm feeling kinda homesick. It's really bad, this year. I don't feel like I have anyone to share stories about my adventures with. I really feel a strong need to decompress, to sort through all the things I did, and that I witnessed. I wish I were still at Burni... read more
