Joseph Campbell reflects

"The spiritual quest is always realized through relationships,
and those are outward and what you are seeking is the relationship that opens up dimensions within yourself that are greater than those that you knew when you started. Jung says somewhere the only way to spiritual fullfillment is through relationships." Joseph Campbell

Crazy?~or Awake

Thom Hartmann's "The Last Hours of Ancient Sunlight"

"In 'The Origin of Consciousness in the Breakdown of the Bicameral Mind,' Columbia University psychology professor Julian Jaynes puts forth the concept that in prehistoric times (more than 7,000 to 10,000 years ago) people actually heard the voices of the gods. When they looked out into the natural world, they saw fairies, sprites, spirits and other entities. This was because, Jaynes posits, the two hemispheres of the brain were more fully connected, so that the auditory regions of the left hemisphere were directly connected to the hallucinatory regions of the right hemisphere (Wernicke's and Broca's areas) that, in modern people, are normally active only during dreaming or in schizophrenics. Because of this direct connection, Jaynes suggests what we now call hallucinations probably were a common part of the everyday."

Reflections

Beautiful goddess, I love you so!
You are divinity in every fingerprint.
Your lips are forming flowers on forest faces.
Your arms reach across canyons to catch rivers in your fluid embrace.
Your hips curve out like sandstone, smoothed and rounded by wind whisperings.
Your movement directs tides and ocean currents, breathing in dolphin play and whale song.
Your brightness is sunrise as seahorses rise to meet you in a morning dance.
Starfish uncoil their arms in tide pools and sea birds stretch their wings beneath the warm rays of your brilliance.
All of existance awakens to meet your beauty, quivering with creational energy.
Your brightness spans dimensions, sliding along spiral arms of galaxies birthing new stars.
You embrace every facet of existance, suffering and triumph, losing and finding, destruction and chaos, order and inspiration, death and birth and release and love...
The more I see you the more I see hope.
You remind me to recognize myself.
Your divine laughter lifts me up by the horns to dance in the ecstasy of your divinity!
You are the reflection in the mirrored pool of my dreamscape, smiling as your angels tickle my angels in the trees.
I pull you from the mirror to dance this world awake with the drumming of our feet on the earth as our fingers stir the stars!
The more you realize yourself the more life becomes self realized!
Goddess Bless!

She is mermaid don't ya know?
And a healer and a warrior to the truth...
She is the both spark
and the cool breeze that fans the flame..
Her words run deep and her heart speaks so sweet....
And oh yeah, man... does she give good toe :)

What shall one say of this soul, who embodies the mysticism of a world long forgotten in legend, something in her shines out, a grace, a nobility of such splendor and beauty that the magic of an ancient world is made alive again?
She swims with the mermaids, dances with nymphs and dryads, tickles your soul with pixies laughter and welcomes you in to the fellowship of noble company, a host of possibility and wonder. And so I stop here to honor this anachronistic soul and in graduate say we welcome your magic into our soul your Celebration of life into our heart.

She Is a Divine Soul temporarily confined to the limitations of human consciousness. She has a purpose on this plane of existance that boggles the mind and tickles the soul. She Is.

Wendy is a kindred soul I'll always keep close to my heart (though I rarely ever get a chance to see her) ... never knew what it was about her, from the day I met her, knew we were kindred spirits and fellow fae. She's incredibly talented, divine, and enchanting.

wendy is a handmade favorite baby doll of the maiden aspect of the goddess. when the goddess was a wee little girl, (this time is rarely spoken of) this most specialist dolly accidently broke (in the goddess's young age, there were a few mishaps!) but she was filled with so much magic that she fixed herself! and the goddess was amazed and pleased. she journeyed sooooo far to gain the wisdom it took for the healing....a raven carried her at the darkest deepest farthest point (for she was getting very tired traveling sooooo far)she came back with so much vision and power that her little dolly body could scarcely contain it all! so she was granted a gift from her faerie godmother, she is now able to transfigure into fish-tailed form when her power surges so strong that it threatens to burn her up with all its heat and light! she fluidly merges with the sea and her power is dispersed through the birth fluid of mama ocean into all the new life that comes to the earth. this is how she contributes her gifts to the evolution of us all. i am so greatful, she came so far to share with us this gift! thank you magical wendy-doll, mermaid sister from far far away...

bliss bliss bliss bliss

"When you follow your bliss, and by bliss I mean the deep sense of being in it and doing what the push is out of your own existence -- it may not be fun, but it's your bliss and there's bliss behind pain too. You follow that, and doors will open where there were no doors before, where you would not have thought there were going to be doors, and where there wouldn't be a door for anybody else." -- The Hero's Journey, Joseph Campbell

“The way to find out about happiness is to keep your mind on those moments when you feel most happy, when you are really happy — not excited, not just thrilled, but deeply happy. This requires a little bit of self-analysis. What is it that makes you happy? Stay with it, no matter what people tell you. This is what is called following your bliss.” ~Joseph Campbell

IV. THE CRYSTALLINE BED

In speaking of the Tristan poet Gottfried's description of the love grotto and the symbolic wilderness around it:

No one could wish to be anywhere else. And this I will know; for I have been there. I, too, have tracked and pursued the wild birds and beasts in that wilderness, the deer and other game, over many a wooded stream; and yet, having so given my time, I never made a real kill. My toils ... read more

TWO roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept... read more

Could You Beloved?

“The universe is but one great city, full of beloved ones, divine and human, by nature endeared to each other” --Epictetus Greek philosopher associated with the Stoics, AD 55-c.135

“The essence of man is, discontent, divine discontent; a sort of love without a beloved, the ache we feel in a member we no longer have.”
Jose Ortega y Gasset quotes (Spanish philosopher and humanist , 1883-1955

“Love consists not in feeling great things but in having great detachment and in suffering for the Beloved.” St. John of the Cross (Christian mystic and poet, 1542-1591

“Escape me? Never - Beloved! While I am I, and you are you, So long as the world contains us both, Me the loving and you the loth, While the one eludes, must the other pursue”
Robert Browning (Major English Poet of the Victorian age, noted for his mastery of dramatic monologue and psychological portraiture. 1812-1889) *Twin Soul is Elizabeth Barret Browning*

“In wise love each defines the secret self of the other, and refusing to believe in the mere daily self, creates a mirror where the lover or the beloved sees an image to copy in daily life; for love also creates the Mask.” William Butler Yeats quotes (Irish prose Writer, Dramatist and Poet. Nobel Prize for Literature in 1923. 1865-1939)

"Oh Beloved,
take me.
Liberate my soul.
Fill me with your love and
release me from the two worlds.
If I set my heart on anything but you
let fire burn me from inside.

Oh Beloved,
take away what I want.
Take away what I do.
Take away what I need.
Take away everything
that takes me from you."
By RUMI

"People tell me it's a sin
To know and feel too much within.
I still believe she was my twin, but I lost the ring.
She was born in spring, but I was born too late
Blame it on a simple twist of fate." Simple Twist of Fate by Bob Dylan

Good Ole Will Sings the truth!

Sonnet 116

Let me not to the marriage of true minds
Admit impediments. Love is not love
Which alters when it alteration finds,
Or bends with the remover to remove:
O no! it is an ever-fixed mark
That looks on tempests and is never shaken;
It is the star to every wandering bark,
Whose worth's unknown, although his height be taken.
Love's not Time's fool, though rosy lips and cheeks
Within his bending sickle's compass come:
Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks,
But bears it out even to the edge of doom.
If this be error and upon me proved,
I never writ, nor no man ever loved.

William Shakespeare

Poetree

"Thalia in her character as Muse is the inspiration of Bucolic Poetry and Comedy, and as here represented, below the surface of the Earth, unseen, she is "Silent Thalia" surda Thalia, the Muse unheard. For men confronted by the frightening features of TIME, which they do not penetrate with understanding, are made blind and deaf to the inspiration of the MUSE OF POETRY OF NATURE, and it is only when one's spirit had been transported to the summit of wisdom that her glory is disclosed."-Creative Mythology Masks of God pg 101 Joseph Campbell
