My LJ

New job is fairly cool so far.

They give us the option to pick our titles for our business cards. People get pretty silly with them. I came up with Dynamic Synergist, but I can have up to 8. I need your help, LJ. What other titles should I choose for my business cards?

Here's some examples:

Internets Strategerist

Sr. Tubes Developer

The Decider

Asst. to the Regional Manager

Scrabbleista

Guapo

Web Jockey

Critical Path

Mr. web two-fucking-oh

Pop Culturalist

Maverick

Bottom of the Totem Pole

Spelling Be Champ

Official Shit Talker

cheezburglar

Mexican #1

Beer Fairy

Biggest Buddy

PS: Unrelated, but I've been spending a lot more time on Twitter than LJ lately. Same name there as here.

i am SO pissed at home depot right now.

there was some nasty water damage on an interior wall in one of my closets, so i've been cleaning it up and getting ready to paint the closet. i was going to get some paint at the home depot tonight. i wasn't feeling up to going anywhere for a while, so i called to see what time they close: 8 on sundays, according to the recording.

i arrive at 7:30, and they tell me that they're already closed. i ask why the recording said they were open until 8, and they said that some of their stores close at 7 on sundays (not answering my question). when i asked if they were going to change the recording, they said no. the recording that lists their hours goes for *all* home depot stores, and since not all of them close at 7 on sundays, they'll leave the recording just the way it is.

GAH. i have been deliberately LIED to by a fucking recording, one that is going to continue to lie to people for the foreseeable future.

i'll be going to orchard supply tomorrow morning for that paint.

I'll be starting work on December 3. (Eee!) It's been five years since I had any sort of regular schedule; I've been in school (and doing other stuff) in that time, and generally haven't had to be anywhere at the same time 5 days a week. I don't have any sort of routine, and haven't in years and years. Even when I did, it was mostly haphazard as I was just trying to make sure I looked ok, didn't smell bad, and wasn't sick with hunger as I left the house.

I've been thinking about setting up a morning routine. On the one hand, there are things I'd like to do every day (hygiene, fitness, food, etc.) and setting up a standard order of doing things is more likely to help me remember them, but on the other I've never been overly fond of routine and I tend to forget some stuff and then get upset about it, and then stop entirely because it's upsetting.

What about you? Do you have daily or weekly routines? What do you like about them? Have you found some things are more likely to be forgotten than others, and any pointers?

Photo by [info]metaphorge, who graciously joined me today while I was getting inked by Idexa of Black & Blue Tattoo.

The outline went really fast, so we actually did some of the shading today too. As of now, the center spiral is all black, so I have another session to color in the top and bottom sections in a few weeks. Yay ink!
