I've spent every birthday since 2000 encircled with thousands of brothers and sisters in a July 4th prayer for world peace and healing at the annual National Rainbow Gathering... and this year I will not be. I was so exhausted today. I took my car to the mechanic to get new axles, and I asked him if I could take a nap in my car while he was working on it. He said, "sure, if you don't mind the noise". So he lifted the car with me inside about 8 feet off the ground. I left the hatch open, put in my earplugs, and layed down in the back.
