Location: Button Factory, Waterloo Ontario (1 hour from Toronto)


Yes, that's right! Alana is coming all the way from Hong Kong, and will present a 2 part veil workshop in K-W! The morning segment will focus on mastering single veil techniques and designs to incorporate into your dance repertoire. The afternoon will delve into the possiblities of dancing using two veils to create even more interesting patterns and forms to frame your dancing. This is not the typical Egyptian 'swish and pitch' entrance veil work! American style veil work has evolved from a simple tossing of fabric into an art of itself! Dancers in the Middle East have started incorporating more veilwork into their professional shows. The style is playful, dynamic and can add an air of mystery or serenity to your performance...the only limit is your imagination! Veil dancing is incredibly beautiful to watch when done well....and Alana is fantastic!
Come on out and learn how to spice up your dance with exciting veil work! Try dancing with two veils to challenge yourself and double your fun!

$45 in advanced for each workshops, or $80 for both!
